help with barbarian gunslinger

Advice

my buddy has his mind set on a urban barbarian/ gunlslinger multiclass (sort of describes it like punisher set up) he asked me to help because i am the most familiar to pathfinder out of my group but i personally never played either class. the character is a asimar 5th level. any input on this would help alot.

Shadow Lodge

Go to at least gunslinger 5 to get gun training (dex to damage). Really not sure what rage powers should be taken though...

i know right its a very frustrating build but if it works i think he will a pretty badass character

At fifth level, I'd be Gunslinger 5, then start taking Barbarian levels from there. Gunslingers benefit to an crazy extent from being level 5, and if you're not there, you're going to struggle with damage. You also want to be either a Pistolero or a Musket Master (archetypes), depending on which kind of weapon you want to use. Feats should be Rapid Reload, and then just whatever ranged character feats you'd normally take. (Deadly Aim, Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, etc.)

The combination on the whole should work out pretty well. Level 5 gunslingers benefit from Dex like nobody's business, so being able to rage for that is awesome.

thanks i will let him know now if anyone rage power recomendations for future levels i would apreciate it i personally am going to look at them right now

you know powerful blow doesn't seem to be melee specific that seems to be a good start

Liberty's Edge

Also as he'll be at range mostly, rolling dodge would be a decent rage power as well.

you know what this is starting to look badass, i never would came up with this combo myself though it makes me wonder what other suprising multiclass possibilities there are for the gunslinger

Liberty's Edge

Superstition is always good, too. As is Witch Hunter and maybe the Spirit Totem stuff (especially if his Charisma is any good).

now were brainstorming keep it coming while i brainstorm ideas for a gunzerker archtype for barbarian youre recommondations are definately helpful for class ideas, oh i guess i forgot to mention that this ispired me to attempt this, keep gunslinger ideas coming though i think now a few others want to try multiclassing with it (not in same campaign)
