So today was a day of new clothes and there will be another day this week. I was gifted a dress and I have two more on order. I spent the day outside running important errands wearing my new dress and I was so happy and comfortable. I didn't get any stares or awkward look/comments. I usually wear jeans so most of the time people don't really think about it.
Yesterday when I was at the grocery store, every single employee I needed to interact with called me ma'am. It was great!

I hope everybody is doing good in these times of troubles. Hugs all around.
I have two thing in my life that is causing me concerns...which might seem small in comparison but they are hitting me on a personal level.
The first is my cat, Floyd, vomited blood today. We are taking him to a vet asap...but he is fifteen years old and it is probably not good. He has been a main support in my life as only a pet can be...I mean I am hoping it is nothing.
The second thing is I approached my friend who runs that gaming club thing about hosting a LGBTQ+ game night for when the physical place. His response kinda sickened me as it was about making enough money...here I could use the support from people with information on how similar events are run so I can start answering some of his concerns.

I can only pray and hope for the best for your kitty, as he has lived a long kitty life. I hope he recovers.
I hope you didnt take the response of the person too deeply- a LOT of people in similar places are in a lot of trouble with respect to paying rent, and there are a lot of frayed nerves.

How's Floyd doing?
As for the gaming club, a safe place for gamers to meet is always a good way to make money. My FLGS has an LGBT game night. I just found out about it in January. Apparently they have been meeting for a few years. I have a group that I already game with so I never really noticed. Now that I know who they are, I can definitely see it. They are gamers like everyone else and they bring in money consistently because they feel welcome and safe.
I really do hope that Floyd is doing ok now.

Update on Floyd: After that night in which he threw up lots of blood...we took him to the vet who only found a 'maybe Thyroid problem. They gave something to help Seattle his stomach. In next couple days he bounced back with his appetite returning so pretty much now back to normal. I am still concerned as cats are master at hiding health problems but I am not crying with worry anymore. It was very hard taking him to the vet.
My friend's place is not a gaming store as much as a location where people can play in a organized shared universe...a friend of his let's him use a place rent free...all he has to pay is utilities. Though now it has gone online.
What I need is more details on how others have set up similar LGBTQ+ Game nights and such.

Everyone, a moment of your time.
One of my oldest friends and gaming companions has just come out to me as transgender. I have known this person for over 20 years, and this is...well, I am shocked. Beyond shocked. I never knew this of them in any way.
I'm happy they were in a place where they could come out to the gaming group. Actually, I am beyond happy that they would be able to do so. But the shock is still there.
I hope the shock doesnt make me a bad person. But this news is less than 2 minutes old, and this was the first place I came to, the only place I could think of.
Wow.
I mean.
Wow.
I never even thought or suspected...

I don't think it makes you a bad person. You learned something that was counter to what you thought you knew. You are now working on resetting your expectations and adjusting to the new information. That's perfectly normal. What happens going forward is what determines if you are a bad person or not. Fortunately, I don't think that's going to be a problem. You are not a bad person from what I can tell.

Hoping for the best for Floyd!!!
And if that's the case, your friend should not be looking for money at all! Why is he interested in turning a profit?
Floyd seems to be fully recovered.
As for my friend...I think he can be very selfish and his ego. He doesn't want me do a better job of organizing a gaming community than he can...so he undercut my efforts in this area.
I can am probably to accepting of other flaws

While I can't relate to you...I did the same thing with my long term gaming group.
I think the shock is normal and it is okay for there to be a period of adjustment. My only suggestion is just be there for them.

I know you well enough to understand why they would feel safe telling you this. You have that effect on people.
It’s okay to be surprised. You are the type of person who will be a good friend to them no matter what.
Let me know if you want to chat.

Hello everyone.
I'm Talia. I'm a trans lesbian in my late 20's, and brand new to Pathfinder! I love RPGs, MMORPGs, and now Tabletop RPGs. Outside of games, I work as a clerk at a gas station, I try to stay active with an intense bodyweight/sword workout regimen, and I am trying to befriend the ravens that hang out near my workplace.
At the beginning of March, a couple friends tried to get me into Pathfinder by giving me a set of the "pocket edition" books. Due to the ongoing crisis, and the fact that I work third shift at a gas station with very little night traffic, I've read through these books and am itching to try GMing a game now.
Anyways that's all from me for now. I hope your day goes swimmingly.

*grumble-grumble*
Because of reasons* (mostly epidemics combined with raging incompetence...) presidential elections in Poland had not happened as planned in May, and were postponed for late June.
In meantime, the incumbent president got a hit to his popularity and poll numbers, especially as the primary opposition party switched candidate to a much more popular, successful, young, and progressive mayor of the capital.
The delay also allowed for a degree of actual election campaigns, which improved the odds in the favor of the opposition (though the official polls still show the incumbent president to have advantage)...
The current regime pushed up their "blame LGBT community for all the ills of the society" narrative, though there is a significant pushback... Though it might be only my personal connection bubble. I hope they people get sick of that authoritarian conservative bastards and vote their puppet out of the office.

Since we all could use a little good news...
This is amazing! And with a 6-3 majority written by a justice I would not have predicted!
