Charging Hurler?

Rules Questions

I'm trying to figure out how exactly this feat works.

Some specific questions. Could I use it while mounted to gain the benefits of ride by attack, spirited charge or mounted skirmish?

Could I gain the benefits of other such abilities like radiant charge or the cavalier's banner bonus?

I think the answer to all your questions is yes. When it says "All the parameters of a charge apply, except that you must only move closer to your opponent, and you must end your movement within 30 feet of that opponent."

The bolded part is meant to be a lowered restriction from the normal charge requirement of closing to melee range with the foe. NOT as a restriction that would prevent ride-by attack from letting you move afterwards and end up > 30 ft away.

It's still considered a ranged attack, I think, so any ability that specified melee attack would not work, but something that just required a charge or charge attack would work.

Sovereign Court

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Prerequisite is a Drunken Ki monk. Upon reaching his limit, each round the monk must make a Fortitude save with a base DC equal to 20 + the points gained from Drunken Ki within the past 8 hours. This DC increased by 1 each round or by 2 if the monk earned any Ki points from drinking in the previous round.

A failed save forces the monk to charge towards the nearest corner and empty the contents of his stomach. If this movement takes him through threatened squares, enemies may take their attacks of opportunity as normal (though they may get barfed on)

I think it works like a normal charge. spirited charge is for melee weapons although a gm might let a throwing lance work with it because you are using a lance just not a lance as a melee weapon.

Everythring that doesn't specify melee attack should apply.
