Yes but annoyingly the FAQ did not answer the question directly, especially given that Arcane Mark used in this way is a unique circumstance spell, not a general situation. In fact, this is the only time I've heard of the spell being used at all.
What's the remaining question? I thought the only contestation was people saying you couldn't use cantrips.

Then rejoice for Paizo has found a use for the spell!
It boils down to the simple fact that you and a few other people dislike the idea of it. However, its perfectly fine by RAW, and given that the devs are MORE than aware of it you can readily conclude that it's also perfectly fine by RAI with regards to them.
To the OP: this should highlight for you that many people will have certain knee-jerk reactions to the magus and anything slightly off about one. This is not to dissuade you from doing it, but rather realize that you will want to understand the rules thoroughly as you'll likely get questioned on some aspect of it. Rules education is a good thing however, so don't back down on doing your part for your local area!

So you use Spell Combat, attacking with your weapon and casting arcane mark. When you cast, use Spellstrike (assuming you're at least 2nd level) to deliver the touch with your weapon.
Boom. Pseudo-TWF without the gear/feats.
I have fought against the use of Arcane mark but it was clearly showed to me that it perfectly legal.
Every touch spell count as an armed attack is used against an enemy, so there is no reason to treat Arcane mark differently than any other touch range spell.
Touch Attacks: Touching an opponent with a touch spell is considered to be an armed attack and therefore does not provoke attacks of opportunity.
