Okay, help me out please.
I am GMing PFS Tuesday, but I am a total noob (to PFS, not PFRPG). I've never played or GMed and scenario before. I've read everything I could get my hands on (Guide to PFS, PFS Field Guide, these message boards), but I have a couple questions. I've probably just missed this stuff.
1) On a Scenario Chronicle Sheet, does the max gold listed need to be divided by the number of players, or is that the per player amount. I am thinking per player, but thought I'd ask.
2) Does the party have to actually find everything in play. For example, if a creature gets away or is avoided somehow, is its treasure still available for purchase after the scenario? Or, let's say Perception checks are failed all around and the party misses some gems. Is the value of these gems subtracted from the Max Gold? It is called Max Gold, that seems to imply you could earn less, but if that amount of gold isn't guaranteed, why let the players see the amount? Wouldn't it be better to have the gold spot filled in by the GM after the play-through?
(Okay, there are about 6 questions in (2), but they are all around 1 theme).
3) Do you have to run scenarios from the current season? What is the current season? Three?
4) As a GM reward, I get a copy of the scenario to apply to one (and only one) of my characters should I ever make any. Do I need another GM to sign this or am I signing my own sheet? I guess it wouldn't matter in most cases. Seems it is possible to cheat somehow, but if you are that determined...
Okay, I think that is it for now.
Thanks for putting up with my wordiness.

Thanks for taking the step forward to be a PFS GM! I'm sure you'll have a blast.

You're gut feeling is right, the listed amount is that player's 'share'.
2) Does the party have to actually find everything in play. For example, if a creature gets away or is avoided somehow, is its treasure still available for purchase after the scenario? Yes. Anything they don't recover should be marked off the chronicle sheet. Any encounter not successfully completed will lower the final gold amount (there should be a line after the encounter that says "...award each player XXgp."). There is a line lower down for the GM to record the actual amount of gold awarded/found.
3) Do you have to run scenarios from the current season? What is the current season? Three?
Nope. Any scenario not specifically listed as retired is legal for play. This is still season 3, unless I missed something.
You award yourself the sheet. You already get max gold and max PA no matter how the players fare, so how could you cheat? (Don't answer that ;) )
Again, you're going to have a great time.

just a quick note, you don't get a day job roll or any special boon listed on the chronicle sheet. example of a boon is (from First Steps III) "Kayle’s Blessing: You gain a +1 luck bonus on any saving throw against a dragon’s breath weapon. This bonus can be applied after a roll is made but before the results are determined. You may only use this ability once per saving throw. This ability may be used three times."

Per Player Amount

Each encounter tell you what they find and how much gold it is.
As a GM try not to punish players for finding an interesting way around an encounter, if they do give them an interesting way to still find the treasure.
But if they out right Fail an Encounter or Run away, then part or all of that encounters GP can/should be subtracted from the final Gold, but to tell you the truth that is rare.
(Okay, there are about 6 questions in (2), but they are all around 1 theme).
3) Do you have to run scenarios from the current season? What is the current season? Three?
No you can run from any Season, but be aware that Season 0 scenario are not written using the Pathfinder rules, they use the D&D 3.5 rules. THe current season is Season 3, Season 4 Starts at GenCon in August.

Alright, I've got another one.
I don't have the book with me right now, but the Field Guide has a table that assigns different Max Purchase Prices for magic items to different levels of fame within a characters faction. It says that this determines the most expensive magic item your character can purchase from his faction.
So,
1) What items does a faction have available? Anything below this amount?
For example, if my witch, Ezmerelda Cliche, has enough fame that she can purchase items of up to 5,000 gp in value, is it assumed that she can get her gnarled hands on a cauldron of brewing as long as she is in a city of at least 5000 people?
0R
2) Does this actually apply to scenario chronicle sheets?
For example, if Esmerelda comes across a broom of flying during an adventure, which is on the chronicle sheet for 17,000 gp, can she buy it even if her fame has her purchase limit set at 15,000 gp.

Not sure how PFS handles the wealth limit of individual towns, probably going to be some GM variation. But as to point #2, yes, that is how it works!

Sweater Golem,
If you have not already done so, you need to go to this link and download the free Guide to Pathfinder Society Play. A lot of your questions are answered in there.

Thanks Enevhar. I have indeed read the guide, but it isn't always as clear as it could be. :)
Thank you, Sniggevert.

True, and that is why there are often questions being asked here in the forums. And yes, the rules on item buying are spread out in the Guide. I think in one place it talks about the "always available" items, in another place it talks about items on the chronicle sheets, and in another place it talks about buying items based on your total Fame.
And Sniggevert is correct. But make special note that he used the word value and not cost. So if you are upgrading an item, your Fame has to let you buy it at it's total value, even if all you are paying is the difference in cost to get the upgrade.
