Casting from a wand question

Ok, I know that a level 1 Ranger can cast Cure Light Wounds out of a Wand, because the spell appears on the spell list.

Could a Bard who has not chosen to take Cure Light Wounds as one of the spells they know also cast it out of a wand without a problem? I would like to think so, but Im not sure if the 'he doesnt know the spell' part of it gets in the way of the 'its on his list' part.

On his list means if he chose to, he could learn the spell, not that he knows the spell already. So, the answer is yes, a bard who does not know cure light wounds can still cast it from a wand.

This actually brings up a question about the Ranger though. They don't actually get a Caster Level until level 4 when they gain access to 1st level spells. I assume that a Ranger below level 4 cannot use a wand of CLW simply because he does not have access to magic yet. Is this correct?

If so I assume it works the same way with Paladins.

That is incorrect, actually. An L1 ranger or paladin can still use a spell-trigger device.

Spell Trigger: Spell trigger activation is similar to spell completion, but it's even simpler. No gestures or spell finishing is needed, just a special knowledge of spellcasting that an appropriate character would know, and a single word that must be spoken. Spell trigger items can be used by anyone whose class can cast the corresponding spell. This is the case even for a character who can't actually cast spells, such as a 3rd-level paladin. The user must still determine what spell is stored in the item before she can activate it. Activating a spell trigger item is a standard action and does not provoke attacks of opportunity.

(I added the bolding, but you get the idea)

Cool, thank you Tilnar.

Another question: Does an Invoker specialist adds his Intense Spell damage bonus when casting an evocation spell from a wand?

Unless there is some special ability described in the class features, or some feat that I am not aware of in PF, then, no. Purchased wands cast spells at the lowest caster level possible to create the wand, and you can't apply modifications to the spells such as metamagic feats or class spell enhancing abilities.

No problem. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that Rangers who give up their spells due to an archetype (eg - Skirmisher) can't use wands because (as you'd expect), they don't have a spell list.

The other fun thing to remember is that various archetypes, bloodlines, domains, etc, all add things to your spell list, which gives you more flexible fun with wands.
