The sub-titled Hitler video is already a meme. Has been for at least a year. I first ran across it as an Eve Online spoof.

Sure. It started appearing soon after DOWNFALL came out, with lots of different things ranted about. I saw a 4e one, etc. I still think this was hilarious.

Please don't say that. It suggests that I'm getting very old, and that shouldn't be a true thing.

And, I see Kevin may be old, but not so old that he didn't ninja me. Sometimes, old folks like to hang out in DEEP 6 FAWTL.

Holy ---, that YouTube was awesome. Especially since I boxed up all of my 4e books ... and they're in the garage.

"Like Stalin!" LOL.

Honestly, I find it astonishing that that many Nazi underlings made the "Keep" pile....

They probably had perfect execution on the template, were able to avoid the auto-rejects, and followed the Wondrous Item advice. They are underlings, ergo they are good at following orders...

Related, I don't understand why so many people had problems with the template. I thought that was the easiest part. Creating a unique item was the hard part.

Well Kevin, you may not have made the Top 32, but you are getting an official invitation to join in the merry chaos over in FAWTL. You rock dude, that had me busting at the seams!

Come on, you know you want to! ;)

I was the first to comment on You Tube. That was hilarious!

And, yeah, what The Pres said.

Damn, this is funny. It made me laugh out loud.
Thanks for posting this. You have given me a few happy moments in an otherwise extremely crappy night.

Can't breathe...too much laughing...sides hurt...feel much better about my item being rejected though. Thanks.

They just seem to wander out there after awhile, don't they?

Don't mind if I do! Brace for newbishness, as I'm clueless as to what FAWTL is all about.

Mine are boxed up in a garage 2500 miles away. I wonder if we took a poll...

Mine are languishing in my attic. I should really see if my LCS wants to buy them from me.

RPG Superstar 2012 Top 32 aka Cydeth

Mine are sitting on a shelf next to my other 3.5 books, next to the Alternity books. I don't think they've been touched, beside by incident, for nearly a year and a half...no, they have been. But not with any intention of being used.

A clasic. One all of us not in the top 32 will want to watch each year!!!

Thanks! And speaking of Facebook, I've got a group I run that's all to do with RPGs with a heavy emphasis on Pathfinder.

Kevin, at PaizoCon I will address you as "My Gamemaster". I haven't laughed this hard in a long time (woke up my babies!). Each viewing is better as I reread the judges comments. I will use your tomb stone in one of my games (even if it is a crapy name :D ).

Awesome video Kevin. It was great, should an instant classic.

Speaking of 4e books. I didn't buy the core set, but a friend left them at my house almost 4 years ago and told me that we would just keep them their if we ever decided to give it another shot. The books have set pretty much in the same spot for several years now. I guess I could use them as paper weights.

4th ed still has a proud place on my shelves... i occasionally leaf through them for the art or occasionally for inspiration for a concept. not going to get a game with them any time soon, even if i wanted to, as no-one else in my entire city seems to like it.

the thing that realy made me sad about 4th edition was that it was all but destined to make an epic computer game title, which would have played on all of its strengths while minimising its weaknesses. the game that we got for it was... a third person shooter/brawler with four characters to choose from, a ten level cap, and more bugs than a summon swarm spell.
*sobbing* i know this has been covered before, but... *throws back head and spreads arms wide, yelling into the sky* WHYYYYYYYYY? *resumes sobbing.*

+1. The artwork is top notch. And I meant no disrespect to 4e. It's just not my game of choice (obviously).

Epic...genius...hilarious. Great reason to smile, pre-7am. I also read the title and knew it was intentional. It only made me curious to see what the reason was. Better luck next time, "My Game Master"!

Brilliant... and good luck next year! I think we'll have to watch out for your name there... You just got a personal "I'd like to see you in" from at least one of the judges. That's got to count for something.

Except that the qualifying round is anonymous. There were winners from previous years the judges said they "expected" to see in the results and their items got just as savaged as anyone else's. :)

As it should be. :D As Clark says, even Kobe Bryant misses free throws. Doesn't mean he's a bad player. It does mean he could cost his team the game. Anonymity keeps RPGSS fair. :D

Speaking from experience, yes, being called out by a judge does count for something...a bit of soothing for a battered ego. ;)

There is so much more I want to say; but, I will wait for the contest to be over first.

Congrats to all who made it...good work!

Well, this IS a small world. I moved here (FL) from Duluth, MN a few years back - one of my fave gaming groups, and the one that got me back into D&D, then D&D 3.5 is still alive and well there - I miss them still. When I go north for a vacation as I try to do each year, I usually sit in on one of their games. Next time I'm up, I'll have to buy you that beer myself (two since you'll have to drink mine for me) just so I can shake your hand in person for the sheer delight we all got watching Hitler rant. And yes, I know it is a well-used meme; still a very creative entry. Kudos again!

P.S. Even though my item could "see through walls," I forgive you! LOL ;p

This was extremely well done - the Downfall meme thrives on detail and wit, and I LOLed muchly. But somehow, I dunno, I kept expecting SKR to break into the room waving his sword...

Well played sir, well played. It certainly gave all my jollies a good jiggle. And to make that Hitler scenario, (which I thought had been completely played out), fresh and funny again took some major skills. *hats off*
