Poison (Ex) Bite—injury; save Fort DC 24; frequency 1/round for 6 rounds;
effect 1d6 Str; cure 2 consecutive saves. Save DC is Con-based with a +2 racial bonus.

I'm not sure what all this means. Is it saying you have to make 1 save per round for 6 rounds (6 saves) and if you fail a save you lose 1d6 str? Would that mean it's possible to lose 1d6 str six times (6-36 points of str) if you failed all six saves?

Do you need the spell lesser restoration to get the str back or do you get your str back when the damage is healed and you succeed in two consecutive saves??

Thanks for your help.

Bolded part means that if you save twice in a row (2 consecutive) the poison effect ends, but any Str damage that has been done is not reversed. The poison will last 6 rounds otherwise and if the character fails all 6 saves will have taken 6d6 in Str damage.

Only way to get back Str damage after it has been done is through spells or resting over time. Making a save doesn't get your Str back.

You make 1 save each round. Each time you fail the save, you take 1d6 Strength damage. If you save two rounds in a row, the effect ends. In theory, you could take as much as 36 Strength-damage from this poison.

The damage you have already taken still remains, and must be healed in the normal way.

Side Note: Not something you want to let bite you.

Um... Initial save negates poison?

Also, don't forget that multiple doses of poisons stack!

Actually, they don't. Multiple exposures just prolong the duration by half the original one and increase the Save DC by another 2.

Yeesh. Reasons like that are why one should always be friendly to the group-designated healer. And stock up on (lesser) restoration scrolls.

this is why being immune to poison in PF is so important. With the new rules to disease and poison I am actually more scared of a spider than an owlbear at level 1.
