If you multi-class a monk & an alchemist, can you punch someone with a bomb in your hand and take bomb & unarmed strike damage?

I can't think of anything that would really allow this. Either action would normally be a standard action in of itself...

Hmmm.... I think you maybe able to attach the bomb to an arrow with the alchemist ability and use the feat to stab someone with it in hand to hand... this isnt the monk punch part...

The rules don't cover this case so I would view it that you did not actually target the creature with the bomb, it was the unarmed strike. Resolve it primarily as a normal unarmed strike. The bomb would be incidental damage and follow the splash effects. Since you are also in the splash, would take the same damage as well.

Not sure if this has far reaching ramifications with regards to higher level alchemist bomb powers, but seems like a good compromise.

Yes, but only in the same way that you can use a monks unarmed strike in combination with another improvised weapon like a table leg. Bombs are not meant to be punched at someone.

I know of no official rule, but if you're holding the bomb in your hand when you punch... I'd say that you were the target of the bomb and take full damage. Not a good idea.

Amulet of Mighty fists with conductive property. Bomb fist away.

Hrmmmm, not sure it works that way, but interesting idea. It is a supernatural ability, but it just does not "feel" right.

There's an Grenadier archetype in the Society Field Guide that allows you to coat a weapon with an alchemical substance (like alchemist fire) and have it effect the next creature hit with that weapon, but it doesn't work with bombs.

The archetype does give you precise bomb at 2nd level and let you set off a bomb as a cone at 6th though.

With the 8th level Alchemist Discovery, you can get Fast Bombs, which grant additional bombs via BAB. I suppose if you fast bombed then punched, you could do it without targeting yourself.

Monk of the empty hand,

Improvise weapon the bomb and spend a ki point to make it do unarmed damage?

Standard Action to make the bomb and throw it, so... maybe?
