Our two Admiral spots got taken yesterday! Woot! There were some cool bonuses included therein.
We are $500 away from the inclusion of a larger, high-level, devious adventure to be included. We are $1500 away from getting printed maps of the new islands. Please help us spread the word. This voyage is going to rock, and you won't want to miss out on an opportunity to guide its course. As with all Open Design projects, this one will be a great opportunity for those seeking to a chance to earn writing credits in this industry.
Thanks to all who have already joined us! A new monster preview will be coming out soon.

New monster preview is out now.
And it's a rarity, one of those extremely-hard-to-design-well CR 1/2 monsters, with a twist.

The project is just $40 from becoming 128 pages of Here-there-be-Dragons style goodness. The forums are taking shape in the electron clouds of the Kobold Warren, hammered into place by Wolfgang, and Christina is chained to a keyboard...err, feverishly and enthusiastically crafting the next preview post.
This is the community that brought you Sunken Empires, Tales of the Old Margreve, Northlands, and Streets of Zobeck. You can be sure that any voyage in to the unknown is going to be a voyage done with style!*

Also, the Nethysule race is statted up and illustrated as a preview on KQ, covering one of the inhabitants of the large island of Morphoi.
They are also a playable race that really goes off the beaten track a little. Sort of a kindly vegepygmy. But stranger than that.

The Morphoi Hulk went up on the Kobold Quarterly blog today. This natural enemy of the neh-thalggu should prove to be a tough opponent for explorers coming across them.
Also, more reward tiers have been added to the
Journeys to the West kickstarter project. Be sure to check it out.

I just signed up for my first kickstarter! I just needed to get in on the ground floor of this cool project. And it will be heavily cannibalized when I run Skull and Shackles in a year. I may not be able to participate in all the dialogue and stuff, but I look forward to the finished product. Maybe we can get to $8,000?

We're about $300 away from adding a pirate secret society to the project, which would push it to a total of 144 pages plus player handouts and poster map.
Isuru |
The project is in its final week of funding.
The current total is $130 away from the next expanded goal: "A complete pirate secret society writeup with leaders, monsters, lair, ships, and nefarious plans, a 16-page standalone mini-expansion for all backers".
A Captain level patron, or any equivalent, would push this over.

Joined as a Captain today. Never a question I would join, but spent a couple weeks deciding which tier. If you're still on the fence, I would highly recommend participation. I'm sure you can find someone willing to make it a Xmas present.
The Open Design projects are a very unique RPG experience. Not only do you get a great product (take a look at all of the 5-star reviews for Open Design work), but you get to help create it. The value of this project is amazing. You're looking at 144 pages of material PLUS player handouts like deck plans AND a poster map. And this content will help support your Skull & Shackles campaign, a Midgard campaign, or your own homebrew. Help put us over $10k, only $515 to go!

I'm starting to worry that there's too much stuff being promised for too little money. But hey, Open Design's loss is your gain!
All backers now get the print book and all the extras for $25. Including US shipping.

The Kobold Overlord has obviously gone mad, folks! $25 for all this! You'd be crazy not to take advantage of his lapse in judgment and join the crew. It's gonna be like a Christmas in June when it all ships, and you'll have plenty of material to entertain your players with.
Hoody hoo!

Ohhh...I'm looking forward to seeing what additional benefits you'll come up with for us $50+ backers... :)
