I don't think so, I believe the only energy resistance you can get are outlined somewhere in the book where it shows the elements and the energies connected with them
A similar debate came up at the convention I was at where a friend plays a Sorcerer Archtype that allows him to change energy into lightning (e.g Fireball could be a Lightning ball) he wanted Magic Missile to be lightning balls (for flavour purposes only) but Force Energy cannot be changed despite being 'an energy' I believe positive/negative energy is in the same boat. While it is an energy it also isn't
But in a home campaign I would have no issue with it. My Paladin took Fire so that the Wizard can go ahead and throw Fireballs in without worrying about me. The energy favoured bonus and a ring of Fire Protection brings me 20 Fire Resist, add my pretty decent saves and I take minimal damage and have LoH if unlucky
