Inhumans and Guardians of the Galaxy

Story Marvel Phase 2 is reportedly including movies featuring the GotG and the Inhumans. I am hoping that the former will be about Vance Astro, Starhawk, Martinex, Nikki, and the rest of the 31st century team, not the new group. I don't know what to make of an Inhumans movie. Thoughts?

Unless something's changed from the last time I read about this, no solid work has been done on either project. From what I've read before, Inhumans and GotG are near the top of a pile of properties Marvel is considering for film but neither has a greenlight.

If I remember right, Dr. Strange, Heroes for Hire and Power Pack were all mentioned in the same paragraph as the Inhumans and GotG. That said, I'm totally down with some cosmic Marvel action on the big screen, but I'd prefer a version of the Abnett/Lanning Guardians team.

I would prefer the newer guardians.

Dr. Strange, and Heroes for Hire. I couldn't care less for the rest. Power pack?? Really?

That was my initial reaction as well, but it actually kind of makes some sense.

Power Pack, like The Incredibles, is pretty much the perfect vehicle for a family friendly superhero film or animated series. Four siblings are given amazing powers by a dying space horse and have to rescue their parents and the world from an alien invasion while flying around in a talking spaceship. That might sound a little too saccharine for you or me, but the average American family would eat that poop up. It's an idea that's practically hemorrhaging money and Disney would probably cut a pretty large check to see it made.

i must defend power pack -it was a very well written comic. Also, the above is correct.

I'd like to see a Killraven movie.

Killraven would be a great movie, although it would either be helped or hurt by the upcoming John Carter movie if released too soon. Although there are huge differences between the two properties, I don't know that the average movie goer would recognize that fact.

I'd like to see Heroes for Hire done in a buddy movie style like the Rush Hour and Lethal Weapon franchises. I'd like to see Black Panther done as well altough hopefull they would stay away from the Reginald Hudlin stuff.

I could see Inhumans working kind of like Othello, family and courtly intrigue, with super powers.

I'd use the old city in the mountains, rather than the moon. You can always move them later.

Power pack would work like other said above.

I'd love a GotG movie being started in Iron Man or another of the Avengers franchise. Picture it as a news ticker. "Vance Astrovic enters cryogenic sleep as NASA prepares to launch the 'Guardian Project' a long term mission to Alpha Centauri..." I think Marvel needs a lot more 'teasers' like that. Bonus if they did the trillogy format starting with Vance and ending with Major Victory.

I don't know if a live action movie GotG would work. Charile might be difficult even with modern CGI.

I'd also love to see a 'midnight sons' style of movies.

I wonder if Hamlet or King Lear might be a better fit.

Power Pack would be great. How about Matthew McConnaughey as one of the boys? =)

Sorry, when faced with american movies of today, I always expect disastrous casting...

I had nto thought of it in that light. Would be cool to have something to sit down with my little niece and watch with her.

And freehold just so you know my friend. I still have, I think, the first two years of that series. Yes it was fairly well written. Of course I was at the time a sucker for strange or unique comics. I think I even collected the one with the guy who could talk to his mac truck.

Bad casting is not my worst fear, bad script writing with the idea, lets make MORE EXPLOSIONS AND CGI is.

good to hear you are also a power pack fan - there are a lot of us out there. And I don't think my lord and master Micheal Bay nor the bane of all that live uwe boll have any interest in power pack, so it will be mercifully free of explosions and awful casting/script respectively.

Not crazy about the Inhumans, moreso with Power pack (ick!) Heroes for Hire (Power Man and Iron Fist of old) would be kinda awesome.

I say bring back....................

wait for it....................

The MICRONAUTS (Arcturus, Mari, Biotron, Microtron, Acroyer, Bug, maybe even Devil)! :P

Sadly, I believe you are 100% wrong. Both Michael Bay and Uwe Boll will probably go all medieval on one another's asses to be the one with the movie rights for Power Pack. There WILL be bad casting, and BY GOD there will be CGI. Though how you'd do Power Pack without CGI is kind of... unclear, anyway. =)

My concern with a Live Action Power Pack would be how do you handle the actors aging quickly?

"Coming soon from Marvel Studios... Power Pack, the movie! Written and directed by Joss Whedon!"

To be honest I would like to see Guardians done by Pixar now that Marvel is owned by Disney.

If they can work it so its focus was not comedy, and made it an animated superhero film, GotG would be ideal. Rocket Raccoon, Groot, and Cosmo would be perfect in a pixar film.

No he would never do the movie; why? he would not be allowed to kill off characters when least expected.

There are somethings I would not do to anyone. Such things include forcing someone to say watch the final season of Buffy, Aliens 4, or Gilligan's Island.

He could kill off Whitey or Ship and get away with that.

Not unless he is trying for and gets the OK for an Old Yeller type of movie. Otherwise there is no way that he would be allowed to. The action figures wouldn't sell well that way.

It would also be a good 'gateway drug' kind of thing.
