Is there a Map for the caravan route in Brinewall Legacy?

The path is said to be 500 miles, passes through Galduria, Wolf's Ear, Roderic's Cove and possibly Riddleport.

I don't know where any of those towns are, is there a map available for this so I can see approximately when they should encounter each town and how many extra miles are added to go to Riddleport?

The map in that book only covers a few miles from Sandpoint.

Thank you

We assume that folks who run APs have access to the Inner Sea World Guide—that book has a map of the region of Varisia in it. Of course... you don't really need that map if you're just glossing over the journey...

The section on Varisia in the Inner Sea World Guide is what you'll be wanting to check out, though.

There are several copies of the world map and regional maps floating around the net, usually on campaign sites. Usually at a fairly low resolution, but a google image search should help you out.

Totally unrelated, but there's a fantastic map in the humans of golarion book that shows a migration of all the major human ethnicities. (All its missing is the other core races!)

Thank you, That answers my question. I will get that guide as soon as I can financially... I will just have to get the pdf of it for now.

If it helps, when I hexed out the map, it looked like it took about 2-3 days to Galduria, about a days travel from there to Wolf's Ear, then about another 2-3 to Roderic's Cove. Riddleport is probably only a day or two, maybe three from Rod's Cove. From Roderic's Cove to Brinewall was the long leg of the journey, if I recall correctly about 9-10 days...bringing you up to the 16 day estimate in the book.

This is, of course, if you use the overland travel speed as stated in the AP, not by RAW for a wagon.

Thank you PhineasGage. I really appreciate that breakdown, you saved me from doing the math myself.

I went all pedantic and made up a spreadsheet working out the various travel times at various speeds - base, enhanced undercarriage, horse trains, faster feat and its stacking. (Yay for boring lunches with nothing else to do.)

Personally, I'm dropping the base speed down to 16 miles/day. Facing nearly 30 days of traveling made the players do everything in their power to get the caravan's speed increased, which effectively enticed them to spend their own money to fit out enhanced undercarriages on all wagons.

I've added some additional stops, but here are the core places (days are shown as 16 miles/day / 32 miles/day):
Sandpoint to Galduria: 7.3 / 3.7
Gladuria to Wolf's Ear: 1.9 / 0.9
Wolf's Ear to Roderic's Cove: 7.5 / 3.8
Roderic's Cove to Brinewall: 12.0 / 6.0 (taking the detour trail or going through Riddleport worked out the same for the way I laid down the roads.)
Total: 28.7 days / 14.4 days (assuming they have no layovers at towns)

I created a players route map, and added some other Jade Regent files includeing a Carvan pdf (editable) located Here.

The trade routes in Varisia: Birthplace of Legends work great for this, if I remember correctly...

This is a pretty low resolution map but here you can see the route you take. I realize this thread is something like 3 years old but for anyone else looking for it I suppose this map help. You start on the middle blip on the south of Varisia Bay and end up at that small settlement at the outlet to the sea of the northernmost river.

And how are they suppossed To cross the river to go in the land of the linnorms kings?

There is a bridge when you are at brinewall its in the ap

@Eretas Page 26 of Brinewall Legacy
"As the PCs’ caravan approaches Brinewall, impress upon
them the oppressive feeling of the place. The track they’ve
been following all this time passes about half a mile east of
Brinewall, continuing north and crossing the Steam River
into the Nolands over a weathered wood-and-stone bridge.
An old signpost about a hundred yards south of this bridge
reads “To Brinewall,” and points down an overgrown trail
that winds through a forest. This track quickly fades
away entirely into the undergrowth, and further progress
toward the ruined village must be made on foot."

Thanks Stetrix... RIF... Reading is Fundamental! :)

Scarab Sages

Thanks both of you, I was readfing the second volume, as we play on line, I read the first one months ago...

The Exchange

If you're just starting the journey to brinewall, I highly recommend checking out "Road to Destiny" by Legendary Games...they have several plug-in mini adventures that add in some more background and story to the JR campaign. Road to destiny covers an entire level of what would otherwise be boring random encounters on the road.

We just left Brinewall to go to the land of linnorms kings. The second tome.

The Exchange

Ah. Well, they don't have one for that leg of the journey, but there is one for after book two, "the Baleful Coven" also by legendary games.
