Did anyone think it was odd that the dwarven racial trait: slow but steady was not mentioned at all?
You would think that would cost 2 RP or something.
I only noticed this because I was trying to make a dwarf race variant that favors being a paladin (since dwarfs are often LG I felt it fit), and noticed that it wasn't mentioned anywhere in the guide.

If you read the document, Slow and Steady is built into having a Slow speed. Quite the opposite, you get -2 to your rp for having slow and steady :).

I could have sworn it wasn't in there. My mistake. Thank you

Just out of curiosity what page is it on? I'm still having trouble locating it and control-f isn't helping

They snuck it in under slow speed. Read slow speed : medium races do not suffer for wearing armor.
Its one of the many ways they rigged the numbers to force all core races at 10. You are correct it is good and should cost at lest 2, but hardy should cost 3 or 4 itself.
*rubs eyes* ah there it is.
I think that it should be more obvious than that honestly, once again it is increasingly obvious that the core races should not be exactly 10 points.

Yeah, that has been went over so many times now. They are not 10, the numbers have been rigged and out right faked to make it seem like they are...I mean all races have wonkey priced items.
The question why not have Slow be -2 RP while armor encumber bonus be +1 RP? No wait a normal speed with armor encumber bonus is a bit too powerful.
But regardless the two should be separate. I should be able to make a small creature or large with the ability to ignore the speed encumber effects armor as well.

Is it? What if I'm building a large race that has vaguely the same proportions as dwarves? Suppose I want them to only move 30 but not be slowed by armor. Currently the system can't do that.

I meant it's a bit too powerful for 1 rp.

Slow and steady should not cost a thing - but neither should you get extra points for it.
And the current implementation is very weird: It only works if you're medium. Yes, being large a and slow really sucks now!
I guess it will be changed again - you can either have normal for 0, slow for -1 or fast for 1. And then, there is a "...and steady" trait that you can add that costs 1 point.
