Infuse Mutagen

My question comes in to play with the above Discovery and the Rules around it because I have not been able to figure it out. please advise

The question is the 2 points of Intelligence damage is this temporary or permanent or what? This to me is vague and I am not sure of an answer here, Please Advise

The Intelligence damage is temporary. Ability score Damage is always temporary, while Drain is always permanent.

Okay if it is Temporary, when does it take affect immediately? or when you drink it? or what, the rule in my mind is really not too clear.

The Intelligence damage takes effect immediately. The mutagen takes 1000 gp and inflicts 2 points of INT damage upon creation, and then it lasts as long as it needs to.

The mutagen also doesn't go away if you earn another 1000g or cure the Int damage. So if you have the gold, and a way to cure the damage right away, you can make up to your daily limit of infused mutagens, cure all the int damage, and be good to go the next day, with double the normal limits for mutagens.
