Whip Mastery

Rules Questions

Does the Whip Mastery feat line apply to different types of whips, such as the scorpion whip,or,what I'm going to be using, the nine-bladed whip? Also,do normal whip rules apply to these variants?

Yes because they are all kinds of different whips and act or used more or less in similar ways.

I just built a Belmont-type character with the Whip Mastery feats. A couple levels of fighter, the rest inquisitor. Would be a lot of fun to play.

What is the nine-bladed whip?

I assume that the Nine-bladed whip is a “cat-o’-nine-tails” or Scourge - a 3rd party product. I would say that the Scourge and Whip are 2 different Weapon Proficiencies, given their radically different size, but I do not have access to that book to confirm.

The Scorpion whip and whip use the same proficieny, so I would say that if the frat works with one it works with both.

The nine-bladed whip is more or less a bunch of razor blades chained together, with a pointed tip.It =awesome, look it up on Google images.

I'm trying to make a fighter dipping in monk(or vice versa) that dual-wields two nine-bladed whips.I'm trying to make him dex based. Also,if anyone can find a specific ruling that says they're used in the same way,it would be helpful.
