Quite true.

i am clearly slacking... will be leveled tomorrow. ;)

Note to all Predestined Warriors of Fate: your choice of a battlecry may matter.

At least you didn't stick yourself with, say, "It's Slobberin' Time!" or "Not In The Face!"

my favorite has always been... 'not where people can see!' ;)

I've just come back from a strenuous business trip and am now coming down with an even more strenuous flu. |:(

Anyway: Hail Queen Ameiko! :)

Does Heal help against muteness? It's not mentioned in the spell description, but muteness is not a standardized condition in the rules. Given that the spell removes blindness and deafness, it's not much of a stretch...

Increase your Relationship score with ONE (and only one) significant NPC by +1. If it reaches 12, you get a +1 Morale bonus on all Charisma-based skill checks.

Yay! :) Does that make us... friends with benefits now? *badump-keesh*

Yeah, yeah, I'll take ranks in Perform once I can afford it. |:(

Hrunndalf is leveled. It just occurred to me that I had completely ignored my Warsight revelation... I should really look at that sheet more often. :P

On the other hand, I'm sure that fey-bane Aldori sword will see its climactic use ere this tale ends. ;)

(Zaiobe's muteness is a standardized condition with its own specific rules within the AP; they are simply rules you don't know. You would be welcome to try "Heal" to see if it works, but be aware that her condition is not simply "unspecified muteness, GM gets to make up the rest". Whether or not Heal would work is, essentially, already specified.)

Myriana:
OK, let's figure out where this new wolf comes from all of a sudden. Did you have anything particular in mind?

Melinda is APPROVED.

Kalimac, I think your to-hit when charging with a regular lance should be +9, not +8. Also, please note somewhere that the Order granted circumstance to-hit bonus granted to your allies when you challenge and threaten is now +2.

Other than that, Kalimac is APPROVED.

Alaric is APPROVED.

Myriana is APPROVED, but please see my spoilered note to you above (and I have been thinking of Fun Plans for the future regarding that, by the way. :) )

Hrunndalf, the sheet you currently have up appears to still be your 3rd level sheet ... is it just not posted yet?

And by the way, everybody, the title "Journey to the West" TOTALLY refers to Rokuro's epic journey across the Wall of the World and is deeply meaningful.

(It is not at all because I got my directions confused while looking at the map of Golarion.)

(Looking forward to starting "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and hiding my shame.)

Male Human Gunslinger / 3

Hello all.

Sorry for my disappearance but school work seems to come in horrible tsunami like waves. I have a couple weeks of very easy studying and then my teachers seem to get together and assign additional readings and such based on when they think I have the least amount of time to do them. And my stupid roommates got me sick. But I'm better now.

I have tried to look over the boards to get an idea of what I missed but there is just so much. Would someone answer a few questions for me?

What are the npc's that the group met in Brinewall planning to do? is there any unclaimed loot. I didn't do much in the fights but if there is something that no one seems to want, could be useful to Tollin, and no on has a problem with him taking I might claim something. Am I correct that each member of the group received 306.6 gp total from the time we left the caravan until now?

Any other piece of information that someone thinks I should know would also be appreciated. I have a general idea of what is going on though.

Thanks everyone

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

225.2 but I don't think we divided the money that we found in the lighthouse

As for the npcs, we aren't sure, but Buttersnips and Kelda want to o north to (can't remember the name of the city). Spivey is planning on leaving brinewall, and Zaiobe has indicated to Mel that she is thinking of moving on.

Female Elven Urban Druid 9, Brightness Seeker 1

Tollin, i think the most recent loot division is on page 30 or 31 of this ooc thread.

Lio is temporarily carrying the warding box and seal until we get back to the caravan.

The npc disposition is as Mel wrote...

not sure if that's helpful ;)

Male Human Gunslinger / 3

GM:

I have a question about the deadly aim feat. it says that it does not work with touch attacks, I assume they mean ranged touch attacks. does this mean that it will not work with the ranged touch attack ability that my guns have?

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Found the name ~ Karlsgard. Buttersnips and Kelda want to go to Karlsgard.

Tollin:

1) Here is the current Loot Division post, which has the remaining as-yet-unclaimed items. It's still open for about 12 more hours.

2) The money found in the Lighthouse was indeed included in one of the posts, so should be included in the total Melinda gave. I'll double-check the amount, though. (If no one claims Dancing Wasp, the amount of cash will increase significantly.)

3) All of the NPC's have pretty much indicated that they want to leave Brinewall. Kelda and Buttersnips have at one time or another specifically mentioned heading in the direction of Karlsgard, Spivey and Zaiobe have been less specific.

4) It specifically states under the Firearm rules that they count as normal ranged weapons than touch attacks for the purposes of qualifying for ranged combat feats such as Deadly Aim.

Male Human Gunslinger / 3

Ry, I'm going to go with 225.2 gp as is stated in Mel's post. if that changes then please let me know. YEAY on the pistol!!!! I will not be claiming any of the remaining loot.

Male Human Gunslinger / 3

crap, how are we figuring HP again?

Was worried about you. Glad it all worked out.

Tollin wrote:

Leave, generally. As Mel said, Kelda wants to return to Karlsgard, and apparently Buttersnips now as well. Spivey is tired of being a stationary Desnan cleric, but couldn't leave with the Cult here. Zaiobe just saw everyone she knew here get killed.

Between all that, Reta, and a 3-to-1 ratio of Core NPCs, we have a mighty assemblage of Fightin' Feminist NPCs (and Sandru).

Tollin wrote:

That's a Ry question, because stuff has already been cashed out. Changing what was not claimed changes the overall wealth dispersal retroactively. My impression has been that there is a one-day claims window, just like the one-day combat window, and if you don't make a post with a claim during the window, the opportunity is past and done.

Tollin wrote:

The Keep was annihilated by Minkai Monsters, hunting down Ameiko's grandfather. Some of the Minkai monsters were bird-headed, but apparently the dire Corbies in the caves here weren't primary genocide participants. The dire Corbies in the caves here worshipped Nindinzego, the flying demon-squid thing.

Kikonu was one of the Minkai Monster genociders. He stuck around and ruled the dire Corbies, gave Butternsnips license to stay, brought an ettercap and spider onboard, and started a relationship with Zaiobe. But then, Nindinzego also ruled the dire Corbies ... very confusing :-)

Given pictures on walls and visions from the Amatatsu Seal, the Minkai monster genociders included Ogres, ninja, and bird-headed monsters.

If you have a d10 HD:

level 1 - 10
level 2 - 5
level 3 - 6
level 4 - 5
level 5 - 6

et al.

adding your con mod of course

Male Human Gunslinger / 3

Hrithik

I was thinking of armoring the wagons as was discussed in an earlier post. I think I will start with the men's wagon, to give us an edge against the npc/pc women's feminist brigade :)

Thanks to all for the info.

has it been decided if any of the NPCs going to be traveling with the caravan?

Couple of comments on the above:

1) At even levels, HP are half-die-plus-constitution-bonus. (At odd levels, add +1 to that.) And because I suspect some people forget: There is also, of course, the favored class bonus you can use for either a hit point or skill point.

2) I must point out that the notion that the Corbies worshiped Nindinzego is derived from circumstantial evidence only.

3) It has not yet been decided if any of the NPC's are going to be traveling with the Caravan. Their interest in doing so has never explicitly been determined, and if they are interested, the final decision would probably realistically need to wait until you are back at the Caravan and can speak with, at least, Sandru about the issue.

4) I swear that an important male NPC is coming up at the end of the second module.

Also:

5) The claims window is two days, not one day, but yes, only items in the currently active post can be claimed. The older ones are settled.

Male Human Gunslinger / 3

Ry, I think I'm leveled.

Tollin, you're still listed at the top of your sheet as "Male Human (Keleshite) Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 3" rather than 4.

Other than that, Tollin is APPROVED.

The amount of money obtained at Brinewall so far is indeed 225.2 gp.

Male Half-elf Barbarian

I think Rhost is leveled, although I still need to incorporate some of the loot into the sheet proper.

As a quick note --

A player in a tabletop horror game I ran once recalled that at the end of every session, I would check in with everyone to make sure everything was cool. That player liked that approach, and wondered if I might want to replicate it in some way here.

So -- consider this the first check-in. Anything that has happened, or any way that things are being run, that you particularly like or do not like, please feel free to let me know.

And also let me know -- anything you're wondering if you might want to see happen to your character in the future, now that you've had a module to get a feel for them?

Please spoiler anything you don't want public, or send it to me privately on e-mail if you want no possibility that anyone else will see it. I think I will for the moment ask that any "dislikes" be sent to me privately on e-mail first, because I don't want any of this to potentially turn into an argument among players.

(And I will state in advance that one thing I am not going to do is ask anyone to post more quickly or to post more slowly; it is very important to me that people be allowed to go at the pace that is most fun for them. I realize that differences in posting rates is sometimes tricky at times for both types of players, but if this in particular is a major issue for you it will need to be resolved in a way other than asking other people to play in a way that is less fun for them.)

Rhost, please let me know when you've incorporated the equipment in, but for now your character is provisionally APPROVED.

Male Human Gunslinger / 3

GM:

Ry I'm reading the mysterious stranger archetype. Next level I get the strangers fortune feat. it replaces the gun training feat. Does this replace all the gun training feats that I get at later levels or just the one at that level?

As is probably obvious, the first module is rocketing towards its evitable conclusion.

My plan is to continue to use the current IC game thread for the climax and subsequent denouement in Brinewall (wrapping up any loose ends you want -- stuff with NPCs, Spivey, the tied-up Corby, clean-up, whatever.)

The next module begins as soon as you actually arrive back at the Caravan. At that point, I will probably start a new IC game thread (Romance of the Three Kingdoms) for the Night of Frozen Shadows module, and link to it from here and the current IC thread.

But, but, I wanted to make the 5000th post in the IC thread! :'(

Ry, I would like to scavenge materials from the castle to begin reenforcing the wagons. I know that the 500gp per wagon will still have to be paid before the 10hp bonus is applied but this will allow tollin to begin the work. Later, when we reach a town the gp can be spent to perches the materials, 500gp worth, that he was not able to scavenge. I was thinking that this would allow some of the work to be completed ahead of time. Please share your thoughts with me on this.

Basically, a shortening of the time it takes to finish the reinforcement once the gp is paid would be nice though.

So you want it to go from 0 seconds down to ... ?

I'll tell you right off that I'm not letting you travel backwards in time.

Hrithik's 4th Level is in somewhat radical flux, thus not posted yet.

Ghost rummaging into his soul and reconnecting everything everywhen to everything else is definitely changing his alchemical Discovery, but will also probably severely shift the ten skill point allotments. One current roleplaying interaction is bringing up an unexpected new Craft skill as we speak.

Fixed mechanical bits will update by Monday, but skills may not cohere until Tuesday

OOOOOOOOOooooooooooo Flux Capacitor!!!!! We could tie it into one of our dragons and then fly it really fast and then move through time :)

Tollin Elere wrote:

Once you pay for wagon reinforcements, you have wagon reinforcements, just like buying a sword.

Any time you wish to add to this during the game, before or after you pay for them, on gathering materials, installation, etc., you are absolutely welcome and encouraged to do, but it is a roleplaying matter and will have no mechanical effect.

Not too long ago the Arclight was showing the original one. It was a lot of fun to see that on the big screen again. Incest just doesn't have the same impact unless it's as big as a planet.
