I might suggest this for loot:
I. When significant loot is found, I will make a designated Loot Post here.
II. People will have a designated amount of time (two days after the post, perhaps?) during which they can place a claim on any items. Claims can be made on any items the character intends to use in a way other than selling them for money -- including "monetary" items such as jewelry or artwork.
III. If two or more people claim a single item, it will be determined by (in order of first to last consideration): (1) Who Got More Stuff Already Money Value Wise, (2) Who Needs It More, (3) Random Die Roll If All Else Fails.
(This is where it could fall down. It would help if people were willing to keep track of the monetary value of item loot claims they had made, to keep this fair.)
IV. All healing or negative-condition-removing items will automatically be designated for party use. They will be either be (a) split up among the group randomly unless they can only be used by certain classes or characters, or (b)split up among a designated few party members who are judged to be the most likely to be able to use them in crisis situations -- whichever of the two the group as a whole prefers.
V. All other items will be sold. All money from sales or found coins will be distributed evenly among the party members.

That sounds like a good enough plan for me.
As for specifics: as Ry mentioned, my current armor is better than what's in the treasure. And since my strength is not good enough to handle the bow, I'd be inclined to sell the bow and the arrows. Although I could see keeping the +1 arrows and using some of my share of the loot to buy a bow I can actually use.
But Kalimac is really a melee guy, so would probably be in favor of selling the archery stuff as a knee-jerk reaction.

I'll be happy to curate one of the CLW potions. I'm often on the front line, where such things are needed quickly. E.g. if Hrunndalf had taken even one more point of damage from the firework blast, he wouldn't have been able heal himself. So having a potion readily at hand would be helpful.
Of course, Mel also seems to be up front a lot. So it doesn't really matter. Meh. So Melinda, I'll take it unless you want it.

i can't post nearly as often as a lot of you guys during the day, so the potion potentially going to me, might be better served going to Melinda so she can actually use it, as i might not be able to post in a timely manner when it's needed. (weekends i'm pretty free, but weekdays i can post before work if i'm feeling adventurous at 6:30am, and then after work.) sadly i am way too busy to have time to check the forum, not to mention that sort of thing is really frowned upon at my job.

As the question has come up, the panties can be worn by any small or medium sized character. Gutwad was a large fellow.
However, since clothing is technically sized, I will rule that any medium character wearing the panties will suffer a -2 penalty to attack rolls made using the panties as a melee weapons (in addition to the improvised weapon penalty), even though they will fit perfectly well.
| Kyrademon |
They are not a monk weapon per se, but their most obvious use is as a deadly weapon by a member of the archetype monk class "Monk of the Empty Hand": a monk of the empty hand can make a flurry of blows using any combination of unarmed strikes or attacks with an improvised weapon ... [and at] 3rd level, as a swift action, a monk of the empty hand may use an improvised weapon to deal damage as if it were another type (bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing) for 1 round, regardless of the weapon’s normal damage type.
Since, as Melinda points out, a monk is explicitly allowed to use any body parts in such attacks, and can make them even, for example, even when their hands are tied, there are innumerable possiblilities for such a monk -- The Upper Thigh Scissor Crush. The Left Butt Cheek Devastator Blow. The Lacy Embossed Flower Slice.
But even in the hands of a class less well suited to it, it is a weapon you can use when you are otherwise almost completely disarmed. While worn, they could still be, as one of many possibilities, an improvised garrotte for use against small or kneeling foes.
Underestimate the power of the pretty panties at your peril. Say that three times fast.

Vudrani Mindchemist should be ready by Monday Packing and traveling today and tomorrow, but should be able to settle in and post regularly by end of weekend.
Note: there are absolutely zero avatars of Vudrani that aren't either bald monk dudes or hot, hot ladies. Lacking any on-site representation, the closest illustration I can find clad in traditional garb is: http://upen-patel.com/gallery/upen-patel-6.jpg

You have now reached 2nd level. Woo hoo!
Please update your character sheet. There is no need to do so instantly; as long as it gets taken care of before you explore the caves it should be fine. Please post here with a brief note when you’ve updated so I can take a look.
I will remind those who have not officially joined yet that you should NOT increase your money or equipment beyond 1st level amounts. I will deal with this in game, if necessary, depending on when you join.
And for Everyone -- Do not increase your relationship score with any NPC at this level transition. However, please do at this point note down on your character sheet your relationship scores with all four significant NPC’s. Your relationship scores with your non-trait NPC’s are currently equal to your Charisma bonus.
At second level, once you encounter them again, and at each subsequent level, you will be able to make an attempt to increase your relationship scores with these NPC’s with appropriate gifts or insults. I strongly encourage you to attempt to make use of this mechanic at least with your trait NPC. I’ll give a heads-up when a level change might be approaching so you don’t “lose out” on your chance to do this.
It won’t happen for a bit yet, but during second level you will start the caravan. You might want to look over the rules in the player’s guide and see which positions you might be interested in taking.
I will post something more extensive about this later, with notes on what roles the various NPC’s can take, finalizing how keeping the sheet updated will work, etc., but as a quick note, the positions that can lower your food consumption (scouts, spellcasters, and to a lesser extent cooks) are CRUCIALLY important, in that if you can get your consumption to zero or negatives the caravan mechanics look like they will be fun and interesting rather than a horrible pain.

OK, I think (with great assistance) my character sheet is ready for vetting and a thumbs vote.
And while I'm at it, I will test out some of the tags.
"In Watermelon Sugar the deeds were done, and done again as my life is done--"
Note that Yosemite Sam hates Richard Brautigan
"Ooooh, them's fightin' words!"
YS Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
RB Initiative: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (1, 6) + 4 = 11

Rhost, you are APPROVED.
I will make a couple of posts on the actual game thread, one private to you and one to the whole group, introducing your character. My lovely lovely Internet is out again, so I'm doing this on a cell phone; it may take me a few minutes. If you haven't read the very first post of the game thread (or have forgotten it), please read it for the background info.
In your first post, include a physical description of your character.
And welcome!

And here I thought I had a low AC, with 16. ;o)
Welcome to the frontline!

@ Ry: Can we add three wakizashi to the loot list? I figure if they're non-magical I should be able to repair them with a minute or two of Mending.
I might be interested in replacing my handaxe with one of them, even if just for flavor reasons. They're martial, right?

It won’t happen for a bit yet, but during second level you will start the caravan. You might want to look over the rules in the player’s guide and see which positions you might be interested in taking.
Kalimac is qualified to work as Scout, Driver, Guard, and Trader. He'll be most interested in dividing his time between Scout and Driver, but will take his turns at Guard and Trader if asked.

You should have seen him before I realized that armor was a good idea. :)

Re: the Caravan. Qualified for Cook, Guard, Guide, Scout. Most interested in cook.
