Thats awesome I might do that with a backback. But what would happen to the monkeys equipment would it merge with me and be non accessible, or would it fall off when he goes back into my body?
Just sew little pockets into the backpack? He should be capable of disrobing and placing the gear in the pockets. I think.

Following. Would also like to know what happens to equipment when it re-attaches, that is equipped to a tumor familiar while it was detached.
Obviously you cant don a cloak or strap a belt while its attached. (Unless it like half detaches from you, like some creepy sci-fi movie, long enough to attach equipment.)
Assuming that while equipped, the equipment has no effect. But knowing if the equipment simply falls off when it merges, or merges with the creature, similarly to druids going wildshape.
This is important to know because of action economy. Die for your Master for example. Is it worth buying your little one something like a Protean Cloak and focusing it towards Reflex saves? There's not going to be time in a fight to equip an item that boosts reflex for that specific Feat+Discovery combination. Because its already going to be fused when the feat procs. But when it blocks the hit, it would be separated, thereby gaining any equipment effects it may have equipped.
(I understand the counter-point that the reflex save needed for Die for your Master can reach impossible highs for the tumor to actually succeed and absorb the whole hit, but this is just a practical example of why answering the question of "What happens to the equipment when the tumor merges?" is important.
