@Shifty, How much can we afford? Do you think Full Plate +2, or do you think I should try and find something mithril to reduce the armor check penalties?
You COULD get a +1 Mith Breastplate with your share, but Heavy Mith armour is still a ways off yet.
ACP can be a problem, but how often will you be worrying about that sort of thing as opposed to a large creature trying to beat your brains in when you charge at it all paladin like? ;p 11ac v 7ac is the difference... pretty marked really.

DM Harpwizard |

@Shifty, then lets go with the Full Plate +2. That sounds great! As long as you don't mind the noisy paladin! :p
@Zyren. I started this game with them about 2 years ago. We were 3.5 and going through the Sunless Citadel. We have only had a chance to play once since then. (Definitely not a regular group.) I may try and convert them to Pathfinder today, but I don't want to use up too much time. I am curious to see how far we get today.

Sunless Citadel was far better than Speaker in Dreams, Standing Stone, Lords odf the Iron Fortress and Heart of Nightfang Spire, yet the best of the original 3rd edition wotc modules was Forge of Fury, in my opinion.
Fight at Tristor was also quite good...I reckon they were more, but I'm too lazy to walk over to the D&D book shelf...:)

I was REALLY impressed by how much ACP was reduced for mithral, but mith FP is a chunk o' change- $10,500! worth it if you can afford it though. better than impersonating an anchor anyway.

Morning All.
Hey ZZ thanks for the nice words over on AK's recruitment thread. I had just sworn off any more games, especially now that Second Darkness is rolling along at double time :-) but I couldn't resist putting in something for one of AK's games.
Glad I made a good first impression with you.

I order from Paizo all the time. Yeah I wasn't able to get out of work on FREE RPG day on Saturday so I had my favorite gaming store reserve me We Be Goblins that I should be picking up here soon.
How is everyone this groggy Thursday morning (or evening from wherever you may be)

Zyren Zemerys |

@ Voodoo: OF course hard copies :)
Sending them via mail is absolutely enough lol, yet I don't know how much shipping to Germany is (I guess about 12-15$):
I think you just have to accept the payment via paypal, nothing else.
@ Sebastian: Just wrote what I thought, hope you get a slot.
@ Newcomers for today:
Good to see you :)

Pitr Jendarne |

hey,
my girlfriend is playing in a music festival out of town this weekend so i doubt i'll be posting next few days. feel free to autopilot Pitr. remember he still has a +2 Wis bonus from his harrowed feat- most likely would apply it to a will save. ack! otherwise he'd probably go after the casters, tripping and power attacking all the way. ho ho ho! : )

Zyren Zemerys |

Have fun at the festival!
I have a question for cases like this, would someone else, besides the Gamemaster, take the responsibility and RC the characters who are absent? I already got a lot to do with the villains, especially during battles. Shifty, Solaric, maybe one of you? Pitr and Zahur need radio controlling :)
If no one wants to do this, I'll give my best, though!

Well I just had a blast gaming with the Thordak, Matthias and Mantooth from HOEV, but this time, with different characters on a tabletop through the Sunless Citadel. They captured the little white dragon, Calcryx, and brought it back to the kobold chief in exchange for a key. The key led them to an ancient section of the sunless citadel where they fought a Quasit. The party just learned about DR. That was fun! Next, they opened a sarcophagus and released the old troll priest. That was when they learned about regeneration. Hehehe. That was fun! I was worried for a while, but they all survived the encounter and lived to tell the tale! At the end of the night, they were able to level up to 2nd level. Yahoo! What a great way to start the summer!

Reminds me of a gaming poem my friend wrote that starts- "There's a quasit in my closet," said Iggwilv to Graz'zt...
I'll have to dig that up and post it for you all.

Mornin' everyone!
@ Shifty and Solaric:
for the upcoming fight we need RCs for Zahur and Pitr I think. Thx alot for your help, maybe each of you takes one of the guys.
@ Garabott:
Was I right with my Hentzau guess?
@ Sable:
OH yeah do that, I like rp-related poems...especially the funny ones.
@ DMHW:
Sounds very cool! Level 2 is where it really starts :)

A question on Divine Bond. What seems like the better way to go weapon or mount in your opinion? I like the mount path mostly due to flavor. But, I was curious if you had any objection to that mount being a grizzly bear. I have always loved the dwarf on bear mount. It has always just seemed to fit so well. What do you guys think? I am just looking a little forward for character development purposes.

'Countess' Victoria |

@DMZZ will be heading out for the night in an hour or so, a nice dinner out followed by my friend/trainer performing a live show "Three men you can't trust; a Magician, a Mentalist and a Con Man" - so will be posting tomorrow am after that :p
@Solaric - I will steer Pitr.
@Harl - I'm a HUGE fan of Bears, I am VERY disappointed that the Pathfinder people only saw fit to give size M bears as a maximum to Rangers and Druids. Very pointedly disappointed.
Now that being said, the downside of the Mount is that I think it would get limited use as an actual mount - thats been pretty much the fate of Zahur in the party that he has an awesome mount, but hasn't really had the opportunity to 'bring it to bear' much in combat.
That said I am also a HUGE fan of Style>Substance, so rock it if thats what makes you happy!

Enjoy everyone!
If I don't post over the next few days it means that one of the little bastards in at the movie theater to see Cars 2 has probably shanked me with a straw and left me to bleed out in a pile of stale popcorn and half-opened boxes of candy... it's going to be hella busy...

Harl Marrhammer |

What is the deal with a large wolf being available and not a bear? I hope Ultimate Combat opens up some more mounts for the Cavalier. I love the class, but it has been hampered by mount selection. Didn't stop me from making a dwarf cavie with a bear mount though, lol. I almost offered him up for this game, but was concerned by the fact it was not a standard mount and I couldn't stomach a dwarf on a horse.
