Young's Double Chocolate Stout!
Yum.
And it works great for an ice cream float as well ... sounds odd but true. Pretty great on its own as well.
Doesn't sound odd to me at all. I've always used Guinness for my beer floats, but I'll have to remember to try Young's DCS next time.
Sounds revolting.

Aw, I see I forgot to make it, "I don't believe it's odd..."

I believe sound and taste are not necessarily correlated.
I learned of the beer float from my maternal grandmother.

My mother would enhance the flavor of Coors and Coors light with cashews. So really I don't find it odd, just does not sound good.

Well, there are a great many things that sound absolutely horrid that are in reality truly awesome. Beer floats (when you use a quality stout and good vanilla ice cream) definitely fall into the awesome category.

Additionally, I have had Guinness ice cream before which was spectacular.

Huh-oh, I'm gonna get in another one of those arguments where people don't understand what the word "believe" means...

I believe this word you keep using does not mean what you believe it means ...

What?

Silver Crusade

I believe in life after love.

I believe there is a belligerent raccoon in my bird-feeder!

I believe there are five squirrels in my birdfeeder!

RELEASE THE HOUNDS!

I believe putting up a bird feeder would only result in a snack for the neighborhood bear ...

I am sure he can, but when you reach the watering hole, will you drink?

I believe that must be exhausting.

Ahem. It still is.

Did you just confuse communism for national socialism?

The russians love it when people do that. :)

Calm down, people. I was just quoting Walter from the Big Lebowski. It was his response to Lebowski fretting about the nihilists.

They're on it -- Walter did say "national socialism," not "communism." Because Karl Hungus and his pals are German, get it?

Spoiler:
We cut off your Johnson!

I assumed White Knife was taking a jocular jab at me and responded in kind. If, in fact, White Knife misquoted The Big Lebowski, then I must say:

Bad White Knife!

Dammit! Is it true that I misquoted the movie that I live my life by? I am disgraced. I will be holding a press conference to annouce my resignation.

Edit I am seriously ashamed.

My wife and I seriously wanted to go to Lebowski Fest. I announced that I intended to get a park ranger costume, which threw her for a minute.

Spoiler:
"Also, Dude, an amphibious rodent... within city limits..."
Barring that, I was going to get a brown robe, a cowl, and a shamrock.

Brother Seamus!

No harm, TWK, but ...

You may want to revisit the whole line as it is quite a bit funnier when you account for Walter's weird adopted-Semitism and what he's implying about German philosophy in general.

Jeez... I had no idea it was that complex when I corrected you!

Scarab Sages

I believe that I've never seen The Big Lebowski, and that doesn't bother me in the least.

thats why I love that movie (and Coen bro's movies in general). There are layers upon layers of complexity. I hope the rumors of a Big Lebowski 2 strring Tara Reid are not true.

I believe I need a sanity break out in the garage and then a round of annual planting.

That's because you haven't seen it. Once you see it then it will bother you that you went so long without seeing it.

I believe I shall have to +1 that statement.

Or we can be rebels and not see it.

More like I'll forget for another year or three than an act of rebellion.

I thought the TV edit was "You see what happens, Larry? You see what happens when you fight a stranger in the Alps."

Either way, one of the best TV edits of a line EVER.

I believe it's time to get moving.

I believe that, for all the stupid movies that my wife enjoys, it is sad that she will not watch the B.L. with me.

Scarab Sages

I believe that 'beer IS proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.'
