Joryn Argentweaver |
As he studys the Wall of Force Joryn appears to be oblivious to your questions. You can hear him mutter to himself, "incredible, simply amazing, a barrier made of pure magic." Then he notices you standing there.
"My group?" asks Joryn. "I'm afraid it's not much of a group, after all I had no greater intention than to travel to the city of Greyhawk and visit an old friend. It would seem that I've gotten caught up in something larger than that though, if the feeling in my bones is any indication. I'd certainly welcome your company, what is it you're looking to do?"
He switches to halfling:
Ardamir |
Clearing his throat, Ardamir steps towards the group. “I apologize for my hasty entrance, but I saw my opportunity to vanquish Sir Thomas, or Beltran as we now know him, and there was no time for pleasantries. My name is Ardamir, and I am a Paladin in the service of Heironeous. Sir Thomas had been under suspicion of treason, though we had no idea that his blasphemy had gone this far. I tracked your party to this town and happened upon you at what was obviously a bad time. I am sorry for the loss of your traveling companion and I know that this must be a hard thing that you are going through, but know that I am at your service and any help that you can give me on my journey would be most appreciated. Can I ask what brought you to be traveling with him? Also, if I may ask, what are your names and what is your quest?"
And what is your favorite color?... couldn’t help myself!
Sapphire Cabyllo el Feugo |
"yeah what he said, I am Sapphire Cabyllo el Feugo an oracle in service of Pelor. He has been sending me dreams and the clergy think them important, I don't know myself, the one with no head that they took away was Lucino, he said he was very old, like a hundred, and had done some very bad things in his past, Pelor had given him a chance to make amends so that is why the church put him with me, and the paladin in hiding was, he called himself Sir Thomas, was assigned to the group to be my bodyguard, but we saw how that turned out, funny thing is I did not think him evil, but I guess he was, we were to start looking for a key and that lead us to Joryn's friend, but he was dead, so we went after his killer, that would be Irontusk, so now it looks like the trail is cold, I think we should go the the temple and ask what to do next, though I don't think we should pick up any body from there seeing as one of the last two was a real bad apple."takes a deep breath
Joryn Argentweaver |
Turning towards the paladin, Joryn says "Well you've given me your name so I'll give you mine. Joryn Argentweaver, student of the arcane. As for joining our quest, if we even have a quest, that remains to be seen. I'm gonna need to know a little more about you if you're gonna be going anywhere with us. First, the clergy of Heironeous use longswords, which is the weapon that Heironeous is said to prefer, yet you use a morningstar. Why is that? Also you say that you've been following the traitor, but you don't say from where. So where are you from?"
Ardamir |
“I am honored to meet you both. To answer your last question, I hail from the temple to Heironeous in Furyondy where I was given this mission. As for my choice of weapon, I do carry with me a Great Sword, as you are correct in the choice weapon of Heironeous. However, I have trained with many weapons and found the Morningstar to be a highly effective tool and have defeated many a foe with it. It seemed that Sir Thomas could use a good bludgeoning to the head as well.”
John, do you want to send me that online character sheet so you can see my stuff? I have an excel sheet but it’s a pretty annoying setup. Let me know what you want to do.
"Lucky" Baremeadows |
Tomlin turns to Ardamir. "And you have no doubt heard of the great 'Lucky' Baremeadows: poet, laureate and scholar?" The halfling gives an overly flashy bow, grinning ear to ear.
"Be not intimidated by my charm and grace. Any stories of my grandeur should not overshadow my love of simple pleasures. It is good you arrived when you did. Perhaps you can help us in our case."
Ardamir |
“It’s an honor to meet you master Lucky, though I cannot say that your renown has reached me at the temple in Furyondy. I’m sure that you are every bit the bard that your presence exudes!”
With a much more serious look and a slight bow, Ardamir turns towards Sapphire. “And you Sapphire, chosen Oracle of Pelor, I would be honored to assist you in any quest that the gods have bestowed on you, though I dare not impose. As a paladin it is my duty to serve and protect those chosen by the gods to do their will and to rid the land of all evil. Beltran is an evil being that I was assigned to track and I fear that this is not the last time your party will see him. He found his way into your service for a reason that we do not know and I do not give up so easily on my prey. If it is the will of the gods and in favor with your companions, I will assist you in whatever task that Pelor has chosen you for.”
Joryn Argentweaver |
Looking the paladin up and down, Joryn says "Furyondy huh? Well I suppose that'd make sense being so close to Iuz's empire and all. And I can't say that I disagree with the morningstar comment. Plus the others seem to have taken a shine to you so I suppose you're in. But for what it's worth I don't completely trust you, we'll see if you're as fair as your speech."
Looking around at the others, he continues, "I believe that we were headed back to the Temple of Pelor before this mess started. I'm for getting there before more trouble raises it's ugly head. Besides I have to see to the body of poor Theldrat."
Ardamir |
"Thank you for your invitation. I understand your mistrust, I'm sure in time you will change your mind. I will follow your lead."
Ardamir |
I'm still here. There's nothing else I need to do at this point, is there? I'm just waiting to follow you all to the temple.
Ardamir |
I left something on his fb to no response, I don't know what's going on.
