Does anyone else remember earlier AP campaign traits being better than the last few APs?
Now it's like "i dont want to write that down, its going to take up space"
Many of the traits are not for flavor than power. I am not defending Paizo, just echoing a point. I would rather for them to be worth half a feat, any feat. Some of them I would not choose ever, even though my min-max days are far behind me.

Some of the traits, like "studying the blot" from SD was pretty amazing, it gave non-wizards the ability to identify magic items, more over this was in 3.5 when you still needed 100 gp pearls to cast the spell identify, and the new Detect Magic mechanism wasn't there.

I felt that the traits in the cc players guide were just watered down versions of traits listed in the Advanced Players Guide. Perfect example is Subject of Study. This is just a broader version of Undead Slayer out of the APG - works great for providing a broader creature base, but doesn't really grab me.
For the record my inquisitor went with the Undead Slayer trait and meshed it into campaign using the Subject of Study trait as its base.
I think if you are going to go through the trouble of putting traits in the campaign players guides, they should be customized toward that campaign and not just rehashing already printed material.

Does that work, stacking-wise? The Subject of Study trait doesn't explicitly name its +1 damage bonus as a "trait bonus" but I don't think two trait bonuses normally stack. Or is that not an issue, since the bonus isn't specifically typed?
