So when it comes to opera, what's your preference? Chellish or Taldane?

Chelish.

Taldane "opera" is just talentless hacks screaming at each other in off-keys while wearing ratty wish-they-were-vintage costumes.

Doesn't Chellish opera have tendecy toward the macabre? Or is that their plays? I recall one work of theater which requires brutal acts done by the performers, to the point no theatre group has actually finished because all of the performers have died on the stage.

It does indeed. Macabre = Interesting. One of many reasons why Chelish opera is good, and Taldan wannabes are lame.

By the gods, what would you do?

After a harrowing adventure of trap dodging and swordplay, I've fallen for a bright-eyed Paladin lad of Iomedae - But the stars are against me! How was I supposed to know he's the son of a former, um...dance partner?! It wasn't even that long ago! Just a few decades! Noone settles down that quickly, aye? Paladin lad and I danced too, but in fairness he led. Humans will be the death of me.

Our party sails to his hometown now. Feel like a trollop. Maybe it's not too late to take my chances jumping overboard?

Don't jump overboard! There are sharks down there!

As you say, but I need a clever plan! We're bound to meet his father soon in Almas! For true, "honesty" won't help a thing; No matter how much our Paladin touts it. My share of last venture's treasure for aid, please!

Hmmm. Maybe invite the father along for the next dance?

By "dance" I meant - um, not dancing but what you'd fancy with Kyra. Father and son? Too awkward, nay. That's it! Kyra is pious! She could relate to a Paladin! Maybe she'll know what to do!

Oh, I know what you meant by dancing. Feel free to ask Kyra, but if you don't follow my advice... you'll be haunted by what-ifs for the rest of your life!!!!

Only one that I know of, and he kind of deserved it, and no I don't really wanna talk about it. It was a long time ago and I did the time for it.

Oh, my apologies. Was half-expecting something enticing or humorous, didn't mean to bring up bad memories.

"Did time"? Surely a bit much for tripping one lad.

Merisiel Sillvari,

My friend practices lock picking. He wants to know: is weird that he has a favorite pick?

Not at all.

Hello Merisiel,

I've wasted much time reading this thread, as it provides much amusement.

My question for you is what is your favorite piece of gear besides your impressive arsenal of knives?

Also, have you ever experimented with alternate hair colors?

I've also been drafted to ask what sort of jammies you wear. Sleepwear to be specific.

I fully await your stabs.

Time spent reading this thread is NOT a waste. If it were, then why should I bother answering your questions?

My favorite thing apart from my knives (in which I include my rapier) is my gem.

Nope. I like my hair as it is.

I generally don't wear anything when I sleep. I don't need clothes when I'm sleeping, unless it's out in the wild or somewhere dangerous, in which case I generally sleep in my armor.

I do sometimes wear OTHER things at night, but those clothes aren't really for sleeping.

What escapades have kept you amused and/or busy as of late?

Cold weather? Let me guess, Endure Elements?

There's some fun stuff going on in Kintargo. Wait till you see Kyra in a dress!

If I'm lucky. Usually, in the cold, I just use a combination of layers, furs, and companions to keep warm.

Which begs the question: how does Kyra react when you press your cold feet against her?

Have you or your fellow Iconics sleepwalked/talked? What was the most amusing time of't, chum?

My feet are NEVER cold.

Probably because I keep them pressed against Kyra, I guess. Which probably doesn't answer your question, does it.

She's very patient.

Chum is something rotten and fish-flavored you throw in the water. Gross.

He/She probably didn't mean that kind of 'chum', I think it's from another language.

Doesn't change the fact that chum is gross.

Heartfelt...apologies, then. Any tales of sleepwalking, though? Or of something embarrassing that happened to Alain?

No worries! Apology accepted! HUGS!!!

Not really any tails of sleepwalking of note, no.

And I'm sure I've never slept close enough to Alain to know anything about his nocturnal habits. I'd rather eat chum.

What is your favorite winged animal?

What's the worst mistake you've made when facing a dragon (either a hostile or friendly one)?

Griffons are preeeeety awesome.

NOT facing the dragon. AKA, turning my back on it. Although assuming Alain would keep up his end of the deal in the overly-complicated plan that Seoni came up with is a contender.

Love Griffons too.

There are rumors that Seoni's ideas and plans tend to fail/backfire a lot, is it true?

When Seoni isn't around who comes up with the plans?

Nope, not at all. When they DO backfire, it's always a shock and kinda unsettling. She actually kicks ass at tactics and planning.

When they do backfire it's usually 'cause someone in the group wasn't paying attention or did something stupid. Some of us are clearly better at that than others.

That's kinda random, but usually whoever's loudest does. Or strike that. Whoever's FASTEST does.

Seems like you should have known better about Alain. Does he actually work well in a team setting, or does he have to be forced to comply?

Oh... trust me. I've "known better" about him from pretty much the start. You don't always get to pick your "boon companions" for adventures though, as I'm sure you're aware. Sometimes, someone in the party is a jerk and you have to put up with him.

I could get behind being called the fastest in the group (for CERTAIN things), but I'm hardly the loudest. In fact... I'm usually one of the quieter ones. Especially if Valeros, Ezren, Amiri, or Lem are within earshot. (Which is roughly twice as far as normal for normal "earshot" type sounds.)

I meant fast, not loud. Apologies for the confusion.

You know, with how good you are at stabbing things, I'm rather surprised people feel that Kyra's likely shorter lifespan due to being human would even be an issue, since you could just stab your way into possession of a few sun orchid elixirs to make the whole issue irrelevant. Do you think you would need help stabbing enough things to acquire one as a birthday/Crystalhue present for Kyra? (On the topic, which holidays do you observe and which are your favorite?)

That would only apply if you had reason to believe he was a veiled Master.

Or maybe the real mistake was in taking the advice or a plan from an Andoran, which nearly got me killed as well.

And they dare call us evil.

It wasn't the fact that it was a veiled master that was the mistake. It was the resulting chain of events that culminated in my longest yet stay in prison that was the mistake.

In hindsight, I admit it was a mistake to let Valeros and Amiri plan the escape. But once we'd gotten them out (Seoni's plans are much better) we were quick to find you.
