OK, are you trying to say something about my Verus threads? I look at each character objectively, and then I make a decision on who wins. It's not my fault that the Marvel characters keep winning, it's DC's fault for making weaker characters. In this instant, the Danny Ketch version of Ghost Rider wins...

If Danny Ketch loses; it is only a setback story; if Johnny Blaze ghost rider fails; well, he is a bad guy; so always looses in the end in Marvel. So, though I like them both; my call is Danny Ketch ghost rider wins the storyline, but Blaze survives.

I'm resurrecting this because I didn't feel like starting a new thread.

So, there's a new Ghost Rider, Robbie Reyes. His series has been going on for a few months now. It's...interesting. I like moving the setting to Los Angeles, and giving him a car instead of motorcycle. And the character of Robbie Reyes is interesting as well - struggling at school, work, and at raising his younger brother. You could see where he'd have a lot of pent up anger and frustration.

What hasn't warmed me so far are three things:

- The art, which I think blows big, hairy goats.
- The spirit that's attached to him. An evil murderer and Satan worshipper who's escaped from hell. I mean, at least it's different. But the spirit is really just kind of an a&!%+$+. Not sure I like the way he just takes over and does evil s@%+. That could get old really quick.
- The Blue Hyde Brigade and Blue Krüe? Seriously?

Also: Johnny Blaze would totally kick Robbie's ass.

Lets not forget the Second Ghost Rider (or Phantom Rider), James (Jamie) Jacobs. Sidekick to the first Phantom Rider, Carter Slade, he was soon killed in action.

Ghost Rider was the third name applied to this line of heroes. The second, Night Riders, was quickly dropped after someone pointed out the KKK reference.

I remember as a little kid getting Ghost Rider #1 (Danny Ketch) version at the local drugstore when it came out. My dad had visitations on Friday nights and would let me pick out a comic while my brother was at his dance lessons. Still have that issue.

Now, as far as the question, I recall at some point that Johnny Blaze showed up in Ghost Rider and tried to kill him. Something happened and Ghost Rider's hellfire infused Johnny's shotgun, allowing it to shoot hellfire. They had a brief team-up comic Spirits of Vengeance.
