Goblin archmage with every spell that deals damage when struck in combat and Roll With It from Goblins of Golarion.

It might be only a personal preference, but my thinking has always been that keeping the main man alive and free is the first priority.

So with spell mastery I pick spells that keep the main man safe, and let him run like a scared kobold if all else fails.

The main man can always come back, anywhere really, when he is ready and feels like it. Time, well everything honestly, is on the main man's side if he is alive and has that book of his.

So, assuming a 20 intelligence without items (though I'm sure it is higher), I pick spells that keep me safe and get me out of trouble.

Here are 5 I would pick:

1) Invisibility (Probably keep a quickened one too, along with a regular 2nd level 1, I like this better than Greater Invisibility sometimes, because of the duration when I don't plan on fighting.)
2) Dimension Door (I will probably have a quickened one of these, maybe a silent too.)
3) Greater Teleport
4) Mirror Image (quickened)
5) Something. Lots of good choices. I'd pick Stoneskin, but I might not have diamond dust. Blink or Major Displacement probably for this one.

Basically I want spells that get me out of the dungeon when someone has taken my spell component pouch and spellbook. (I always take eschew materials).

Keeping the wizard alive is the main thing. As soon as the wizard gets to one of his extra-planar strongholds or hidden labs, that's when he can working on making someone pay. Stay alive and run, then come back when you are good and ready.

Under no circumstances does the wizard stay and fight when the odds are not heavily in his favor. After all, he can always pick the time and place for the odds to be heavily in his favor. Fights against overwhelming odds are for Fighters.

I would put Plane Shift in there, but I can't always depend on having one of my many tuning forks. Hopefully I will never be trapped on a plane without one of my lairs on the same plane.

I probably picked Leadership as soon as I could, just 'cause.

My only suggestion that hasn't already been mentioned in the thread is to take True Name and pick something like a Planetar.

It would help to have a decent CHA, which evidently I don't have IRL, but, then, I'm not an Archmage IRL either. *sighs and looks disapoint*

Skill Focus: Basket-weaving.
Because... who's going to tell me I can't, hm?

You better have breathe underwater. Because nothing tops underwater basket weaving!

I think I would take extra traits to get myself perform as a class skill, then Skill focus Oratory so I can travel the world telling everyone how awesome I am

I would really consider that second (and perhaps third) Spell Perfection, to avoid being that one-trick pony. The feat is awesome, and taking it several times could be very useful as well.

Spell Perfection can only ever be taken once.

Uh...

If the spell has an expensive focus or material component, it may not be chosen for this feat

Fabricate is out for this the OP's idea (False Focus does work though and Major Creation is still legal)
