Twould appear we have adopted the west coast's weather patterns. It was wet, cold and rainy for six days, now it's going to be sunny and warm for six days.

Perhaps, my weather attractor worked too good.

I am also impatiently waiting for Dragon age 1 and 2 on XBONE. Because The hard drive died on my xbox360 and I can't play the ultimate dragon age 1 with all the dlc.

I love them because you really get to roleplay your character and the story is great.

My advice is to play them in order because you'd enjoy them more, but you'll have fun anyway.
Inquisition has probably the best gameplay but the best story IMHO is the one from Origins. The second is also good but very different, less epic and more personal.

I'm at peace with her, but I just cannot like her.

You can add Sera to my unreasoned dislikes list.

Wimp! 81 today. 67 tomorrow. Maybe rain, maybe 85 by Sunday. The same weather 6 days in a row is just boring!

Probably not. Back to the regular teas, then. And the Green teas, of course.

I messed up one of my ribs during yesterday's cleaning frenzy. Blergh. Well, guess that means rest today. I've settled in for a Netflix binge with my crochet project.

About four episodes in to Death Note already....does this series get less boring soon? Trying to decide whether to hang in there or jump ship.

I recommend jumping ship. It gets worse as it goes on, not better.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I actually liked it. But if you're not enjoying it after a few episodes I'd say skip it because it's probably not for you. It's very slow paced, I don't have a problem with that but I can understand that it can be an issue.

I heart proofreading.

Proofreading is my fravrite.

Proofreading approx. 3,000 senior citizens' complaints about railway services, written down by 16-17 year olds with somewhat variable levels of literacy, is my speshul fravrite.

I'm not sure whether this is "politics" or not, so just to be safe I'll spoiler it:

Sometimes the amorality of lawyers amazes me:
So, for the two choir trips I just chaperoned, I loaned the school a pizza cutter, four butter knives, and a bread knife. I managed to reclaim the four butter knives, and I asked the choir director to send back the bread knife and pizza cutter with Impus Major.

She replied that she didn't want to risk having Impus Major get caught with a knife on campus.

And oh, boy, did that set off a swarm of "zero tolerance = zero intelligence" buzzers in my head.

I get the school's position, I really do:
(1) There exist some students on some campuses who should not be allowed to carry knives.
(2) Thanks to lawyers who will cheerfully represent these students (money over morals yet again), the students fall into the broad category of, "Equal protection under the law"
(3) Thanks to "equal protection", either everybody can carry a knife, or nobody can, and the punishment has to be exactly the same for every student caught.

Just sets me seething, because it's so easy to circumvent. "If a student has had any disciplinary action against him or her in the last year, or any arrests, then he or she may not carry a knife."

I just don't see students who are likely to use a knife to do anything untoward as the types who would have a spotless record...

Now I'm watching Your Lie in April, which is much more enjoyable, if wretchedly predictable. This is usually my trouble with anime. I read so much manga that a lot of anime frustrates me because it takes so much longer to watch it than to read it. :P
Still, the music makes this story worth watching instead of reading so I can be a little more patient with it for that alone.

Freehold, I'll try reading Death Note. The idea seemed good, but the show was sooooooo slow I was losing my mind. :)

What kind of amateur brings their own knife to school. Everyone I went to school with knew that if you needed one, you waited for the carpentry teacher to go to lunch and grabbed something from the stores there.

completely understandable.

The manga is an AMAZING take on the hard boiled Japanese detective story, what they were going for a light being protagonist and antagonist works best in print.

I'm something of a fan of Japanese hard boiled detective stuff.

Yay! Got to dig in the garden!! Moved the rocks for the still to be installed dry riverbed out of the way, got the hard to do point of the triangle established and tilled (by hand, not machine), as well as another five square feet to boot.

And I found a head sized sandstone boulder! It was a fun hour! :-)
