For the holiday sale thing Paizo always does, I went ahead and ordered PDFs of some stuff I didn't have. One thing I got was the module The Godsmouth Heresy. Very interesting delve into the Godsmouth Ossuary beneath Kaer Maga. The level you explore has links to deeper locations - some of which are discussed in the Kaer Maga sourcebook, but at least one of which is left completely up to players to flesh out.

I found it....inspiring. Mayhap some mapping is in my immediate future.

Scarab Sages

nekkid map making. now where did I put my pencil......?

If he's anything like me, he's not sick. I end up coughing violently this time every year. I don't know if it's allergies or something related to cold weather, but mid-October/November or so something flips a switch and the hacking begins. It fades off around March.

Y'know, despite living in Sweden, slightly more than a mile from a [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V%C3%A4nern]great big source of snow, I've only had one snow-day in my entire life. Probably would have had one more, once - but it was a Sunday, so...

My work rarely has snow days - it simply costs too much money to close down for a day.

Our counterpart down in DC is another matter. One of those spoiled bastards so much as thinks it's gonna snow and they get the day off.

Naah, in this case the dude's sick. Heard him making a doctor's appointment.

Could be throat/trachea/lungs irritated by dry/cold/wet winter air. I have such cough from time to time.

Hmmm......I haz ideas.

Speaking of sickness and sick leave. Did anyone else read the article about this lady retiring from the Postal Service with 44 years and no sick leave taken?

She's accrued over 4500 hours of sick leave!

Holy crap! I thought my 600+ hours was impressive! She's like the Heathy of sick leave.

Oh no. Still working my second cup. That'll probably be all for me today. Unless I get tired this afternoon.

Scarab Sages

All right folks. Got some stuff to do, then a computer person coming around 1000 to give me a new disc drive for my laptop. Then a meeting.

Seriously! This is a serious pet peeve. If I was a manager, I would send people home if I considered them to be too sick. Spreading germs around the workplace is worse for productivity than an employee or two calling out.

A guy here was like that a few weeks ago. Then he spent a few days in the hospital recovering from the flu. Seriously, it took hospitalization to convince him he shouldn't be at work. In the meantime, he exposed everybody else to whatever he had.

Silver Crusade

Like the avi, Tordek!

It depends on the work place. My boss has refused to let me go home even when I was obviously ill, and only relented to let a coworker who had just thrown up to leave the grounds if she called 911 and took the ambulance to the hospital.

I hope I can make it to GenCon. My daughter had a great time last year, and she wanted to go to PaizoCon with me this year, but the flight will most likely be too expensive. The drive from NC to Indy wasn't too bad, so I hope I'll be able to get the money together to go again.

Yes it's disappointing. I was planning a trip to our Kirchhain plant this year and I had hoped to squeeze in a visit to see you and Sabine while I was there.

By the way - glad to hear the wedding day is drawing near. Good luck on the final preparations and keep things in context. A wedding day is only one day -its the marriage that counts. But I am sure that you and Sabine know that. All the best.

Going back to this....

Spoiler:
In the final numbered room of the dungeon, there is simply a shaft that leads deeper to....wherever the DM wants it to. Considering this shaft was in a portion of the tomb the Thassilonian priests of Pharasma kept hidden from the Runelords and their agents, one would think it was something they thought might be too dangerous if left in the RuneLords' hands.

I'm inspired by this. I think I may create a little mini-dungeon, within which one may find various <redacted> guarding a powerful <redacted> which was once used to <redacted>. However, since the <redacted> of <redacted> the <redacted> no longer <redacted> properly and has become dangerous (although the PCs wouldn't know about that ahead of time).

So very tempting. But I'd never get away with it without the wife attempting to murder me in my sleep. Not to mention the cost would be a bit much at the moment.

Scarab Sages

This, of course, makes sad zombie sadder.

Scarab Sages

I'm sorry to hear that, Tordek! Hopefully you'll find something awesome really soon. There's no place where it's awesome to be let go, but Houston's one of the less horrible ones.

Hang in there!

You were on my list too. The corporate headquarters of my former company was in Wayne,PA. If I had ever been invited out there, I was planning to stop by. You should move to Houston. It will cure your gaming deprivation.

Yes - fortunately, the Houston job market is quite active. My first desire is to stay here. However, I'll relocate if I must. Can't be as choosy in my current situation. After all, I have a subscription needs that must be met.
