Scarab Sages

And, of course, Charlie was up at 0415 this morning.

Scarab Sages

He wasn't Nekkid though.

Charlie did ok on the flight in, although he refused to nap. Finally got him down at my parents house later on. All in all, the flight was nowhere near as nightmarish as I thought it might be.

Have fun.

Scarab Sages

His reaction to my mom's chihuahua is hilarious. He's very brave until the dog gets close to him, then he kind of freaks.

What's the point of being up at that hour if you can't be naked?

(...asked the guy who usually leaves for work a bit before 03:00...)

I've heard chihuahua is Nahuatl for devil-dog. Not true, but it darn well should be.

Could you use the gumbo to tell the future?

Their creepy little bug eyes do seem to denote a hellish origin.

Yeah, and the future told me I'd have a full tummy.

Scarab Sages

Time for breakfast soon.

I think it is more qlippothic in origins.

Chihuahua, or something.

One thought that struck me while I was Christmas shopping - is it just me getting older, or are women in their early 20s starting to dress like girls in their lower teens more and more?

Aberzombie wrote:

Good idea.

*DSX rushes off for breakfast at lunch-time*

You should be around here on a night out

:O

Nearly as bad as the stereotypical Geordie night out.

Got a present for myself as well. Seeing as I can't go to bed on account of having to go feed the parents' cats (which they told me about 30 minutes ago... grr again), I think I'll make use of it and watch some season 1 of Deadwood - maybe I'll learn some new cusses.

Dreams tonight:

A group of very human-looking predators landed by the lake in the forest and I was trying to escape them by discovering that they have problems with noticing non-moving creatures (also, for some reason their thermal vision couldn't detect mm, no I wasn't covered in mud). And I was played by Kurt Russel.

Later the same scenery a bit away from the lake was reused in another dream where a group of very friendly... trolls I think... was playing with puppies.

Another dream took place in some building but I recall little of it.

The last dream (chronologically the first one, I guess) involved some scenes related to World Wars.

Either the third or fourth dream contained a lots of hiding and chasing in the construction of a building - a school or university probably.

Kurt Russel... you can do better than that. Next time, go for a young Al Pacino.

I prefer old Al Pacino than young myself. And I am fan of Kurt Russel since The Thing and Big Trouble In Little China.

BIG trouble in Little China.

Cute. :)

I thought that was amazingly well done, and they even got Lo Pan in there!

Indeed.

How have you guys been?

Hanging in there. A bit down with everything going on and no real Christmas this year (for anybody - both our families are skipping gifts too). Scared about losing everything. You know, the usual.

Keep hanging in there.

I hope there's light at the end of the tunnel.

I hope it isn't incoming train.

Spoiler:
Christmas? What is that thing you are speaking of? Is it something to eat?

Hugs. Man, I know everything will get better for you. It better since you are a lovely person. If you need to talk you know where I am ;)

I'm off to run that last part of the Skinsaw Murders. We might wrap it up today if we somehow stay on track. ;)

It's not just you but you have it backwards. Children's clothing has been becoming more and more like adult clothing for years. When I go clothes shopping, the only difference I see between the two is size.

Thanks, guys. :D

*hugz*

Treppa, I sincerely hope that things improve for you and your family.

I've been there. I feel like things have been steadily turning around over the course of the past year. I hope they do for you, too.

Silver Crusade

Since we were discussing dreams... Have you ever had a dream which is obviously, and with no subtlety whatsoever, trying to tell you something?

I dreamed last night that I was visiting my hometown, and there was some big church event. The choir director I worked with for years was there, and he said it was great that I was visiting and wanted me to sing a solo. I said that sounded great, but it would probably be best if I sang something old and familiar, since I have not been working on any new repertoire in the last couple years. He looked crushed and was obviously disappointed that I was out of practice.

I woke up and definitely had that on my mind...

On an unrelated note...

Muhahahahaha

Silver Crusade

Ack! Time to wrap the Christmas presents!

*shakes fist*

Blast it, woke up with a fever. Not like I was planning on doing anything today, anyway, but I wanted to do nothing while feeling good.

Time for tea with lemon and honey.

I know it's not much that can be done or said via a post, but keep hanging in there. Life as a keen predilection for surprising us with good stuff when we're down, as long as we keep positive and open for it.

Best of wishes to you.

Charlie did a handprint spider as artwork at daycare. Since my sister-in-law dislikes spiders intensely, the wife decided to frame Charlie's art and give it to her as a Christmas gift.

Scarab Sages

That's my wife: she makes gifts of your greatest fears.

Scarab Sages

She'd make an excellent Yellow Lantern.

We were watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse - at the end Charlie made everyone (including my parents) get up and dance to the Hot Dog Dance song.

Now it's time for some Thomas the Train.

We have been watching the Avengers cartoon today, instead of Mickey.

Duh. Why the hell people can't read the initial post before writing useless advice? When the first post explicitly states that the character is for PFS don't advise using house rules or using non-PFS materials, sheesh...

Damn. I just learned that a friend died. Still waiting for more information - another of his friends found him dead at home after he could not contact him for a few days - went to him to check and noticed light in window despite no one answering and then returned with his mother.

He was a bit over 40, 42, I think...

We played a board games a few times but I don't recall if we ever played an rpg session together...

Commiserations Drejk. Hope you are holding up well, remember the good times.

Man, I don't have the words. I am sorry to hear.
