The soundtracks for all the Halo games have to be my absolute favorite game soundtracks, particularly Halo 3 and ODST.

Just sayin'.

My hatred for ODST is well known, if only for the voice acting.
So... anyone who has ever appeared on a Whedon show, worked on a comic with Whedon, or sat next to Whedon at Denny's is automatically bad?

crosses Denny's off of restaurant list

Math the awsome design mechanic on which the universe is formed. I may not understand you totally but I am in love none the less.

Say what?

Pouring rain, 5 °C (41 °F), and the occasional not-quite-storm-strength bit of wind, but my neighbours are still having a barbecue party.

Gotta admire the dedication, if nothing else.

I've always thought Michael Shanks would make a good Connor MacLeod. Or, if you want to go for an actual Scotsman, Gerard Butler.
I don't know Shanks ruined it for me as Hawkman. Gerard looks closer to the Kurgen in my opinion. David Tennant, nah Conner would just run everywhere.

Gerard Butler wouldn't be a bad Kurgan, but it would be difficult since he can't seem to ever ditch his thick Scottish accent, and the Kurgan is supposed to be Russian. Though, that didn't ever seem to get in Sean "I'm not Spanish, I'm Egyptian" Connery's way... Kevin Durand wouldn't make a bad Kurgan, either--he's got the height and the voice.

Of course. It's just a little rain.

What the hell?

You don't think Durand would come of comical?

sounds proper vikigish to me, did they wear horned helmets?

;-)

Actually, excluding the kids, who I think were born in Sweden, they're Lebanese.

So I guess vikingness is catching. :D

Also: My kid just poured some water from his sippy cup on the floor, then got down on his hands and knees to try and lick it up.

Clancy Brown didn't?

Probably just imitating you when you spill really good beer. ;P

Indoor temperature has just dropped below 50*F, and the landlord isn't answering her phone.

*wanders into thread for a rant*

Windows 8 sucks. I wonder what idiot thought that unification of UI between tablets and normal computers was good idea? Haven't they thought that touch screen controls fail when one uses mouse?

Also, downloading Lord Of The Rings failed twice. And I still don't know if I manage to install it on a new reserve computer it will be playable at all...

If only LOTRO hadn't required Windows I would try to install some noob-friendly linux distribution.

Don't you love when download shifts from 1,500 KB/s to 4,000 KB/s and back just because?

No, I am not addicted to LOTRO and hadn't my fix since the end of the previous year when my laptop died second time... Nope. Not at all. I am not sitting in front of my computer twitching in anticipation and fear to check if I will be able to play it again.

I need a better monitor. A friend has a spare one, but I have to find a way to transport it from one side of the city to another... With 19" it will be too big to get into bus and then from bus to my home.

"I'm Candy"

"Yes, you are."

Nope Clancy seemed very cool. Well until the entire survivalist scene. That was so dumb I was expecting the police to break down and laugh at the guy. It looks like they had trouble keeping a strait face.

Download progress seems to freeze at 99%/9 seconds left.

And task manager tells me the task does not respond...

But the time left went down to 2 seconds, so maybe not everything is lost. Maybe.

Or maybe not.

I am not spending another hour or two waiting for installer to download. Again.

Not today at least. Time for some sleep.

I won't create steam account just to instal LOTRO!

Duh.

Maybe tomorrow I'll try again...

That would only be true if I ever spilled really good beer.

Finally! Season 2 of Walking Dead has arrived on Netflix! Now decisions decisions, pause our viewing of Supernatural for a Walking Dead hiatus, or continue through the end of season 4 before watching WD. Hmmmmm, what to do?

The Exchange

Tordek are you in the middle of season 4?

My suggestion would be....it depends.

If you think you could finish season 4 and get through season 5 of Supernatural, then have enough time to get through season 2 of Walking Dead, I say go for it.

Otherwise, skip over to Walking Dead and finish up season two before season three starts on the 14th.

The wife decided to take the day off, so I was able to get up early and get out the door. She's going to wait for th eboy to wake up, check whether or not he still has a fever, then take him to daycare or not.
