Yes, yes they do. I'm lucky my wife is a special education attorney - the district lives in absolute terror of her. She shot out a nastygram a few weeks ago, and got a call back from the district in less than 24 hours. And, on a weekend no less...

That IS impressive. :)

Indeed, I is envious!

Sad to see FawtLHouse 5 go down, but happy to be playing on my thread. :D

Amen sister.

Friggin' bureaucrats

I had an emphatically agreeing response to this, but it veered into politics and my general rage and frustration with the state of Michigan. So I'll refrain, but yes, friggin bureaucrats.

No pics from yesterdays B-Day affair. We just had a Big Birthday Buffet here at the house for him. Everything and anything he could have wanted.

We will be doing a zoo trip or something similar to come after taxes, and after the weather warms. We will take a few pics then.

Yeh, I think MI and MA are in the same leaky boat...

Anyway ...no politics in this thread, so I'll shut it and think of happy things..

I just found where my Confrontation miniatures I got for Xmas went! YAY! Now I gotta get to painting my Troll of the Behemoth and Le Grande Crane!

I have never seen Firefly. Only Serenity.
The only fireflies I like are the song, the insect, and the GI Joe character!

what about this

I really need a day off. So I'm taking one.

Going to go on a hike tomorrow at Glen Eyrie. There's a little water fall off in a canyon. Never been there before. I'm hoping that the small amount of snow we had last night doesn't all melt away before I get there.

But expect to see some new pictures soon.

Nuh-uh. I get to keep my geek card. I have an exception. He's seven. Trust me, it's not like I want to see this travesty again. Only worse. :(

See my above comment about paying for a different movie and sneaking in to Star Wars ;)

I have the feeling this crack in the foundation is not going to be cheap to fix, particularly since it is right below the air conditioner. :(

Hurrah! My Inner Sea Guide is shipping and I just downloaded my pdf. Just in time to prep for my new Shackled City campaign. I'm looking for somewhere in Golarion to relocate Cauldron.

It's a crack from the bottom of a basement window down about four feet, right where the pipes and electrical service for the laundry machines are placed. Water leaks in when it rains. And it's right under the air conditioner and its concrete pad and a huge bush. :-( :-(

Silver Crusade

En route downstate. Stopped at our favorite little diner in Albany. Ugh - we're going to get there so late.

Hmmm....a good masonry expert might be able to get in there and fix it. If not, I've heard of compounds that are really good at bonding with cement and fixing cracks like that - depending, of course, on the size of the crack. I always work better with visuals.

I've heard of stuff that can be injected in the crack [there ya go, Uri] but not if it works reliably.

Good luck with the foundation repair, Treppa. That does not sound good, hopefully it will be easier to fix than it looks.

I would totally have to do that if we move to the East Coast. Not to mention stalking FH.

Depends on the size of the crack (another for Uri). I had a gap between my back patio slab and the main house slab that varied between 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch, and I filled it in with an adhesive compound that bonded to the concrete. A lot of that stuff comes in tubes the opening of which can be snipped to accomodate whatever size gap you have (up to a certain limit, of course).

Nope - this will be the first time. I've found a lot of good suggestions at theRPGenius.com but not much in terms of converting to Golarion.

Huzzah! East Coast stalking FTW!

By the by: Open invitation to everyone I like: If you're ever in Philly, feel free to come to my home and partake of food and beer.

I ran it two to five years ago (yes, it went three years), but set it into Greyhawk because Golarion wasn't around when I started. Anyplace with volcanic-type mountains will work, depending on the flavor you seek. I put mine in the Amedio and gave it a South American twist, which was fun. The group still talks about the llama cutlets.

Thanks - I'm looking forward to this game. One of the players will be my wife. We plan to game once per month so it complements my Rise of the Runelords game (which is also about once per month) quite well.

It seems that I will be joining LPM and Solnes in the act of tobacco cessation. For lent I will be giving up tobacco. Since I have started up Muay Thai again I think it will be easier for me plus I don't have the stress of a family.

Anybody ever hear of eating right 4 your type? A classmate of mine says it's pretty good and fairly accurate. If any of you are wondering I am type O. Looks like I will be picking up another self help book.

Bravo, Woody! DO IT!

Wait...has Solnes given up tobacco?

It is a hard process. It can take several attempts. This will be my 3rd or 4th attempt to try to quit. I can't imgine how hard it is for people with kids. The best that can be done is try to beat your previous record. My current record is about two and a half months.

My wife went almost a year. :-(

I played in Treppa's SCAP game and I thought it was really well done. The suggestion I would make is to not set the game in the immediate vicinity of the campaign setting for Golarion, but to set it in distant Arcadia. Barring that, the Sodden Lands wouldn't be too bad a choice.

On drinking 750 ml of Stella Artois while grading:

The first 375 ml nicely lubricated the grading of essay 1.
The second 375 ml made me completely incapable of forcing myself to finish grading essay 2.

WEE!!! I want to have fun!!!

Good luck, wood-man, and I hope Solnes and Moorluck are keepin' on with their struggle against the noxious weed. That's the kind of quitting I can respect.

Interesting premise. I'm not sure I buy it though. I'm a diet skeptic.

But as long as it works for you that's what matters. Good luck.

And congrats and good luck on the tobacco cessation. :)

Edit: I'll take another look at it when I'm more awake. Not sure if the physiology is sound, but it sure can't be worse than some of the crazy diets I've tried over the years. :)

I took a crack ... at getting the TOTP.
