One of my all time favorite cheesy Rutger Hauer movies. Blind Fury only slightly edges it out.

Diane has never seen Split Second, and I can't find it anywhere.

Yeah, Salute of the Juggers was great. I still have that on VHS somewhere. Rutger Hauer rocks.

The Salute of the Jugger, (or 'The Blood of Heroes'), set in a post apocalytic wasteland, the only past-time is a brutal 'sport', resembling American Football/Rugby/Speedball. Rutger Hauer is a rugged veteran fighting for former glories and teaching a young protege, Joan Chen.
So whoops, I only know it from it's UK title. Just like the 'Avengers Assemble' movie.

i love spiders. They eat things. And I am superstitious around them. I will not idly harm one, for fear of something happening to my aunt, and I would rather move one to another part of the house if it happens to cross my path.
I also love spiders. They are FAWESOME and some of my favorite creepy crawlies.
My wife....not so much. And so, for her, any spider I come across in my house (except the basement or the garage) is a dead spider.

Yes, yes you do! But jfk and laguardia are closed due to weather concerns, so things will have to wait until next week methinks.

I have Arachne as one of the deities in my homebrew setting. I'm personally far too amused by the idea of a Lawful Good spider goddess after years of Greyhawk and Faerun with Lolth.
Araneas are descended from her, and Driders (renamed Arachnes) are evolved ancient Araneas who have reached a mature form rather than warped Drow (which are also completely different in my books). They also tend toward neutrality, good, or lawful rather than CE.
