They're true to what they are, so they get my respect if not my love. That's all I care about. People being true to themselves. Some people are truly a+@+&#~s, some are truly nice, whatever. I have friends all across that spectrum. ;-)

Mr. Shiny is nowhere NEAR as annoying as I can be. Plus he is pretty cool. Go visit him if you can, HD. You would like him in RL.

Allons enfants de la Patrie,
Le jour de gloire est arrivé!
Contre nous de la tyrannie,
L'étendard sanglant est levé,
L'étendard sanglant est levé,
Entendez-vous dans les campagnes
Mugir ces féroces soldats?
Ils viennent jusque dans vos bras
Égorger vos fils, vos compagnes!

Aux armes, citoyens,
Formez vos bataillons,
Marchons, marchons!
Qu'un sang impur
Abreuve nos sillons!

It's got a good beat and it's good to dance to.

Seriously, that and "O Canada" are my favorite anthems.

Happy Bastille Day, everyone!

Thanks for that, now to watch Le Tour.

Yep & Wiggins keep the yellow one & those amazing side-burns.

Hope it's a short road journey, aeglos. Shocking - cold murky California.

Aeglos, are you going down the Pacific Coast Highway? I highly reccommend it, it has to be one of the most beautiful and breathtaking spots in America

I'm listening to 'Car Talk' while it's still on. *sniffle*

I spent a year and a half at Monterey. The stretch just south of that starting at Carmel and ending in Greater LA (including Big Sur) is a fantastic place. If you see a sign for Jade Cove Beach, it's worth a stop and a climb down the cliff. Natural Nephrite is washed out of the cliff there, and if you are lucky you might find a piece!

Yeah, I'm a shameless rock nerd.

Don't be. Rock climbing is an excellent self-=propelling exercise.

Morning everyone. West Coast Time that is.

I return from Cracker Barrel full of eggs, steak, biscuits and gravy, and of course bacon. =D

But I am worried about the timing. I fly out to Florida first thing Saturday morning and won't be back til the 28th. If things match up schedule-wise, though, it will be awesome to meet up.

If his destination is SF, he probably won't be seeing that part. I agree, though - it is amazing on that stretch.
