Did someone make up the words to the song after the song was performed or were these actually the words that were attempted to be articulated?

Check out #4.

Awesome.

(Is this reliable? Sometimes (often?) humor sites put in things that are not always true just to be funny. Probably not necessary in this case, but just wanted to be sure.)

If those lyrics aren’t exactly right, they’re pretty close.

I too have heard a similar story of the song’s origin and meaning from other sources.

This is surprisingly good. (Thanks to The Eldritch Mister Shiny for pointing this one out to me).

was it Billy Connely that used to tell the joke about laying on his hand to make it numb so it felt like it was somebody else.

Apparently. :)

No, actually my metatarsal dislocated this morning. I got it popped back into place, but my whole hand went numb for a few minutes. And that was the good part. :(
And of course it's the finger I rest the pencil on for handwriting. It'll be better in a day or two but that doesn't help me now.

Despite it being what many consider a cinematic abortion, and pretty much killing her career, I liked it. Still do actually, I watched it just last week, and still got just as much entertainment out of as I always did.

Lol.

In truth the movie is exactly what it set out to be, goofy, campy, and dorky. It's so redundantly ridiculous in everything it does that I can't help but be entertained, despite myself at times. And besides Petty, who is a good actress, is so far out there as to make me grin ear from ear with ever campy little one liner she spouts off.

Whew - caught up on the 505 posts I had missed. Quite busy getting my PBP off the ground so no time for FAWTL :( Very belated welcome back to BT.

+1 on liking Mad Men. It kinda drags in the middle, but the last season regained the mojo of the first season. Looking forward to new episodes when they finally hit Netflix.

Also, favorited some posts with neat links to other games. Will have to look those up later. Have a great day before the weekend everyone!

The first Adventure was a nice change of pace
but the second one bores us. And I dreaded Dming the next 4 Parts because there is almost nothig I liked enough to play as written and not much time to re-write

we will play a bit of the second part casually and make a new set of first levels for "Crypt of the Everflame"

i just don't get the ewok hate. And yes, this is me talking. They always seemed to be an example of why a rock to the base of the skull is just as deadly as a laser blast to the chest. That said I hated jar jar and still do -his people didn't get vindicated until the clone wars tv series.

I was interested in that, but after a friend described the premise to me, it really ended up sounding like something a bunch of star trek fans put together to keep the fan wars going.

I remember the city fondly but I have spent just 1 and a half day there

Came home this monday - which, alas, is more than I can say about the internet connection at home - we were there for three days and a bit (friday afternoon to very early on monday), and I can report that it's still a very nice place, if a tad windy at the time. I'd not go there by car until they've finished the tram line, though.

From what I saw, I didn't see any star trek fans at all -- or even mentioned.

Really it was just a lot of venting about how people feel he screwed up his fans -- special edition (Han shot FIRST!), Episodes 1-3 (Jar Jar?, "Nooooooooooo!", Midiclorians?), Indiana Jones (Aliens? Seriously?), etc.

Overall, I felt that it was kind of fun. There was certainly a lot of hate expressed toward Lucas -- as if he has some kind of "obligation" to his fans... The picture also did a half-hearted attempt to show how what he did wasn't all bad...

one thing that was a bit graphic...:
It showed a rape scene done by South Park where George Lucas and Spielberg "raped" Indiana Jones -- I felt that was a bit over the top in poor taste.

Truthfully, there wasn't much that I hadn't heard before.

i more have nothing against kender and ewoks than like them. I've found that most people who have issues with them are a bit unbalanced, like the situation mentioned above. I'll go into the story about the guy who had to be kicked out of the theater for ruining the rotj movie in the 90s another time, I gotta go to lunch.
