My lovely wife wandered in the door at 5 am this morning. CJ (the lead guitarist from Drowning Pool) recognized her and brought her and her friends to party all night in the tour bus. (No Uri)

Hello all. Ah, game night last night (even if I did need to leave early) and caught up with an old friend this morning, feeling good.
Sorry to hear that others are bummed about stuff.
Dude you missed your enlarged fortuned Paladin hammering the Purple Dragon..... and sadly that is not a euphemism..
Although Chubbs did turn the dragon green with the wand of wonder and I mostly hid near by in the forest....
So I hear. Sounds epic, sorry I missed it. Leave early and I miss time travel, ancient proto-Shoanti and a purple dragon smack-down. I'll be pissed if it turns out you're all April Fools pranking me ... ;-)
Ah well, at least we know now why that purple dragon hates us so much.

I find it a lil sad that when hubby and I pulled our "we are splitting up" April Fools joke my sister believed it, but PMG and other gamer friends knew better.

No prank - Either your character or the big Shoanti warrior got the final blow in. I used every buff spell and hex I had and the only spell of mine that had an effect on the Dragon was ray of enfeeblement... Scott T just kept failing against the Dragons magic resistance.
It was a lot of fun.

Oh yeah, picked up Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare last night. So far it's really neat. The zombies are awesome, and some of them are pretty frightening compared to the enemies faced in the original.

Well, let's see...coughing up blood? lymph nodes swollen to the size of grapefruits in the neck, armpit, and groin area and those 'buboes' turning a hideous black color?
.......Wow. So yeah. I remember the symptoms and presentation of bubonic plague, but I have trouble remembering the names of all the veins and arteries. *facepalm*

This was the character I made for the extremely short lived Kingmaker PbP I was in.
Had a 'fun' weekend of studying, going to the laundromat, and braving the wilds of Ikea to replace a desk that had collapsed under the weight of my papers. I've never been so glad to get back to school before.
Oh, my group is starting King Maker next week. Any suggestions for a character?This was the character I made for the extremely short lived Kingmaker PbP I was in.

I'm running a Kingmaker game. The game is different from others - it gives you a good chance to try different character than would work in your typical campaign.
Some interesting things in Kingmaker:
- This is a long running campaign. Age and longevity can actually be a factor
- Lots of outdoor adventuring - this is a really good chance to try a mounted character and get good use out if it.
- Lots of wilderness adventuring. At least one person in the group should be comfortable outside the city!
- Check the player's guide (free pdf here) if you haven't. It's easiest for everyone to pick a rulership role from the beginning so your stats will fit the role you wish to take and there's more party unity.

Where is Allen, dammit? I demand praise from Allen.

I'm also running Kingmaker. For 8 players. Bleh. Games here grow to include the regulars, so end up big.
Anyway, the most crucial characters in the game so far (near end of book two) have been:Fighter- started with tower shield and long sword, moved on to reg shield. Has held the line in every combat so far- he's specialized in defense but has been a strong damamge dealer as well
Sorcerer- red dragon bloodline. Is the Baron and has been using fire spells successfully (because it works)
Druid- Scout and K(Nature), primary support caster.
Bard- Player is a strong role-player who has been decisive out of combat and the bard/bard bonus goes a long way with a large group.
The other players are cleric, wizard, ranger, and a kobold ninja.
Because of the large group, they're running behind on loot, but it hasn't slowed them down.
