I recently finished the 48-issue omnibus. Talk about bleak!

UGH..I'm sorry man. There are certain things I know people should spend cash on instead of using credit- large purchases like TVs, Blu-Ray players, that kinda thing. I hope you are able to get this straightened out.

It wasn't my credit card, it was my debit card.

So, debit card is shut down, and it's Sunday so the banks are closed. So that means I'm limited to the $4 in my wallet for the remainder of the weekend. I might be able to move some money around on my internet banking, but, in an unrelated incident, I have locked myself out of it, and that can't be fixed until at least Monday as well.
Also, I have no phone. My phone is broken such that no one that I speak to can hear what I say. I can hear them, but they can't hear me. I'm not up for a new phone until May. I'd buy a new one, but I have no access to my money.

I had something like that happen to me once, on a holiday weekend no less. After that incident, I was never without a hidden stash of cash (about $25 to $50) at home. I haven't regretted that decision since. I hope you do the same in the future.

Stomach problems + medication ran out. I was having a 'black helicopters' day.

+1. I wonder what he's doing. I haven't heard from him in a while.

Well I was going to say a lot of stress went away, but then my wife's aunt dropped dead out of the blue. She just slumped over her computer. Heart started failing and she just slipped away over a few hours. At least it seems to have been peaceful.
Oh, that's hard, Crimson Jester. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. :(
