Dear Mr. Whedon,
I go by FreeholdDM, and I just wanted to say how much of a postive impact your work has had on my life.....
i believe that is where Whedon gets his fans from. I need to locate it so that it can be destroyed, thereby freeing an untold number of people who are blind to the truth of his "work ".

I wish I would have been offered this earlier, but it's a very good offer.
What do you guys think?
My kids are old enough that they won't be bothering me. They're at that lovely stage of pretending their parents don't exist. :)
Apart from the fact that you already have an apartment, where would you rather work?

Thanks. When I mentioned it to my wife, she wasn't really happy with the timing (I agree, since I already basically set up the apartment in Charlotte).
Tell her you'll do housework on your breaks!

Oopsie.
I wonder how many flags it got. :)
Probably quite a few.
I feel bad for angering the PMG though - I figured if that trashy Elf thread was valid for advice that mine would hold some water, seeing as all I did was change out "elf" for "Mother". Transitive property and all that.

I'd rather work for my current employer. The answer seems pretty self-evident, then. :)

Am I just unbearably sentimental? Man, I see Jean de Florette and Manon des Sources and I really feel for that old bastard Soubeyran.

Yep found it, scratched my head. Did a way too simple response and promptly Nuked it from view.

I have not read them, I have not seen the movie(s)
I highly recommend the movies, but general viewers should note there are no explosions in them (except maybe, internal, emotional ones). Also, they fall in that class of French movies that make me think I could actually learn French if I got serious about it.

So Whedon is a figment of FHDM's imagination, this then woudl mean Freehold created the awesome that is the first few Seasons of Buffy and Firefly as well as the Horror that was Aliens 4!!!

I need to get to the point where I can know french, not just translate it kind of, if I think real hard, and turn my head the right way.

I guess the style of movie means they deliver their lines slowly and deliberately, so I catch all the cognates. Hnnh-hnnh!

French was really, really difficult for me. I took 4 years of it in grade school and I just struggled constantly... so I kind of feel your pain.

I can understand it just fine, but for some reason take way too long to translate in my head before I can actually say anything in French. And I'm just the opposite with Russian. I speak it without even pausing, but I reallybstruggle to understand when someone else speaks it.
