Meh. It's New England. Three inches in late March is par for the course. I'm just a bit sick of it is all. Now off to scrape the car..

Have fun with that. ;)
I hope the snow melts soon. Canadians are pretty stoic about this, but I'm starting to see expressions on peoples' faces. Expressions that say, "If I burn the city to the ground, the snow will melt. Muahahahaha!"

CH: Adjuncts aren't given respect, money, or offices. We're lucky to get a parking sticker and toilet paper. (But please try to go at home unless it's an emergency.)
Hmm, at the school I am looking at, even the TAs have offices (3 to 4 sharing an office, that is, but many of those TAs are music performance grad students and are never actually there). You sould write a letter.

The psychology chair and I ate our sandwiches outside yesterday in the cafe area. Then we took a walk around the campus lake/pond as the sun beat down on us. Getting too hot, we stopped in the Living Learning Garden, where we were over-shaded by trees and surrounded by blooming fauna, but we could still see the sun shining off the water as the breeze and the shade did its work.
:-P
That sounds really nice.

It's a Statist piece of crap in a state that has fallen BEHIND Mississippi in education. Write a letter? I'd be more likely to organize my own version of the brown-shirts.

My partner picked up some new earphones for my iPod yesterday, because he knew mine were wearing out (the right one barely produced any sound). It's amazing what new earphones can do - everything sounds completely different.
Edit: Especially when naked, apparently.
Heck. It's amazing what new hearing aids can do ... until you realize those people are talking to you.

Yes, and it is very disorienting. For instance, when I get migraines I see sound. That's usually the curl up in a dark quiet room until this stops point.

Currently the Canadian dollar is 1.03 of the US dollar so it would be $82400 US if I had it in a lump sum right now :P

Just teasing :) That's awesome, Jeremy.
Maybe there's a bit of envy - humanities grad students get a bowl full of crumbs for a stipend. You should have been there that time some Comparative Lit grad student said, "Please sir, I want some more..." It was an awful sight.
