Naked, pregnant hamsters. You don't see that every day.
....and they're vicious too.
My older brother is off for a spinal tap tomorrow. Doctors want to see what is going on and why he's having seizures when they try to awaken him from a medicine-induced state.
Wish us good luck and happy thoughts.

Good luck, happy thoughts, and sincere prayers.
gran rey de los mono |
gran rey de los mono's random thoughts of the moment:
1. Why on Earth (or any other planet) would people drive hundreds of miles; pay hundreds of dollars on gas, food, and lodging; and waste an entire weekend (or longer) to see a bunch of farm equipment? There are 2 different "farm progress" shows going on this weekend near me. One is in the town I live in, and the other is less than an hours drive west of me. I just don't understand it.
2. One of my co-workers, I'll call him Steve, is almost always angry at another co-worker, Bob for anonymity's sake. To be fair, Bob almost never has all of his work done by the end of his shift, thus meaning Steve or I (depending on what day it is) have to finish Bob's work in addition to doing our own. Yes, this does tick me off as well, but Steve takes it personally. What really confuses me, though, is that Steve doesn't do some parts of his job either, leaving it to fall to me to do. Sometimes I just want to tell Steve to shut up and quit whining, at least until he starts doing his job fully.
3. I got paid on time this week. My last paycheck was a week late due to a family emergency (on the owner's part) and laziness (on the manager's part). Thank God I had enough (barely) stuck aside to get me through.
4. I finally named my bard. Couldn't come up with anything interesting, but not punny, so I ust named him Jack. Now I need to write a backstory for him.
5. I really hate coffee.
6. Does the Werewolf of London howl with an accent? If he was the Werewolf of Toronto, would he go "Aw-ooooooooooo, eh?"

The Mexican grocery store right down the street from me, makes custom ordered Pinatas. I walked in the other day and noticed one done in the Facebook Logo. I have previously seen some that were for Buffy but since it was just a big picture on the side I am sure they could make one of Whedon. Or with a good eats Logo; which would be funny to me filled with candy.

Glad I can be of service. I mean hey we disagree, but I have a sense of humor. Plus I could take some frustrations out on the FB logo. :)

yes... Yes! Let the hate flow through you, cj! Strike facebook down with all of your hatred, and your journey to the Freehold side will be complete!
I feel a strange sensation. One I have not felt in a long time

Morning, all. Hope everyone is safe on the east coast.
We've been driving southward on the opposite coast, and yesterday took the long stretch of the Pacific Coast Highway past Big Sur, et al. It's a beautiful drive that I would recommend to anyone. There are so many vibrant colors: red and yellow wildflowers, green foliage, blue ocean. It was really staggering.
We spent the night at a historic hotel in Santa Maria. They kept a lot of the 1920s flavor: old fireplaces, wood paneling, antique furnishings, brass railings, even an old-timey ping pong table. The rooms are pretty well updated, though.

If you're serious, take a look at B/X Blackrazor's blog: he kicked off a hat/helmet meme. You could come up with something really cool. Of course, the next question is, what outlet would you want to use to share that something cool?

Oh I don't care. I could right up a couple if I get some cool ideas and pass them to pie if you want.
The Thing from Beyond the Edge |
The eye should pass by here just off the coast at around 2000 tomorrow night. The storm is so big that we will probably start getting the outer bands (sustained winds 39+ mph) around 2000 tonight and continue until tomorrow night, getting stronger as the eye reaches us. The winds should increase until they are sustained over 75 mph with gusts up to one hundred mph as the eye approaches. My only other hurricane, Isabel in 2003, is going to look like a cake walk compared to this I think.
