I personally wrote like a 300+ page book that is a inbetween for M&M and starfinder. never found a publisher that was interested. I should go reformat it and edit it.. one day..

So there's a new Captain Yesterday. This one has a chainsaw for a hand. The old Captain Yesterday is now Icyshadow. There is a new Vany. The old one has been retired. We now have a Tequila Sunrise, and an Ambrosia Slaad.

That is all.

So captain Yesterday is now Ashley Williams from the evil dead? Groovy.

The big weird thing about it really is the damage save system. Also I don't think the intent is for the character to level that much but they still can if you want. Also felt it needed a bit more guidance with the character creation the options can be a bit overwhelming.

Ah like M&Ms.

And mebbe a little S&M, from time ta time.

Maybe if you had written a book, then they would have been interested...

Or was it "Ye Olde Mutante & Fyndynge of Staryes RPGe"?

You know you could just say "Hey their's a typo there".

Yeah, but I could say that so often, that I feel the need to change it up every now and then.

I really wish I had an argument for that...

I'll try to go back to ignoring them, but saying you couldn't find a publisher for your "booke" was just too perfect to pass up.

It could of been old English... I wonder if the E was lost the same way that the g in ing is slowly being lost?

He certainly is.

speaking of Gutenberg You guys ever see the thing about the ghost that supposedly haunted the apartment in the movie 3 men and a baby? I don't believe in ghost but it was od.

Fortunately, I got the deluxe player's handbook with a shitload of archetypes to use if you're overwhelmed.

I've only skimmed the combat rules and just last night started diving deeper into the powers-advantages-skills triangle.

There is a deleted scene that explains it. It was a life-size cardboard cutout of one of the characters (Guttenberg maybe?). The character was a real estate agent and used it for an open house, then stuck it in the kid's room.

Huh interesting. Kind of a false rumor then.

That's good I remember when I was looking at it. Their seemed to be several ways to do any concept. Having a guide would of helped. I played one campaign of it. It was a good campaign. I ended up doing a bunch of house rules though as I learned it.

Excellent! I'll probably ask about those as I dive further in.

Self publish?

Oh yeah feel free. I will tell you what I remember. I ended up changing the system so much that is why I went and wrote up my own rules by the end of it.

I know I had ones for converting to hit points instead of damage save.

Had a dentist apointment this morning where they replaced 2 old fillings. The side of my mouth is still numb and I'm slurping my coffee

I have to remember, no matter what, to check the amount of coffee grounds in the jar while I'm making dinner in the evening and grind more *then* if I need to. There's nothing worse than being up hours before my family in a tiny house and not being able to make coffee because my burr grinder is too loud.

I don't feel too bad this morning, though. My jaw felt sore when I yawned, but that was about it. Of course, I haven't tried to eat anything yet, because Teensy Valeros asked me when I tucked him in last night if I could make scones this morning.

Drivethrurpg has some self publishing options. I am only tangentially aware of this and do not know details but my google fu shows a reddit thread on it which may be a place to start exploring if/when you get serious.

I also note a lot of kickstarters will deliver through this option

Yes, but this is the only time I get peace and quiet. Once my little darlings are up, it's like Burning Man around here... noise, dirt, circuses, outlandish costumes, loud music, young people on Adderall, and a mess that takes weeks to clean up.

I can sacrifice my caffeine fix to stave off the whirlwind for a moment or two.

Blueberry scones are in the oven.
I'm also making the croutons for the stuffing out of a loaf of pain de campagne I baked yesterday, because my MIL is allergic to both yeast and sugar, and it's impossible to buy prepackaged stuffing croutons that contain neither of these.

My son insisted I learn how to make this type of bread because he developed a crush on one of the bakers in season 9 of gbbo and she baked it.

I assume you read "self-punishing".

The estranged Catholic in me desperately wants to make Opus Dei jokes, but they quickly get dark and depressing, so I won't.

Yeah, I've learned to keep an emergency baggie in the freezer for just such situations. And oh, the woe when I forget to refill that one!

Tech: Vany? (said kinda like an elementary school kid to a teacher or parent)
Me: ...Yes?
Tech: I got a call on the emergency line last night-
Me: -And it sucked. Yes. You will take it and you will like it.
Tech: Well, yeah, but not where I was going.
Me: Ok, what now?
Tech: She called in to the emergency line to tell me she vomited on her keyboard.
Me: ...
Me: ...
Me: You're just f'ing with me, right?? Please?
Tech: No...

Aiymi overheard this call.
Later: Under no circumstances would I call IT and admit that. Ever. I'll go get another $10 keyboard out of my own pocket and never say a word to anyone. NO WAY IN HELL WOULD I CALL AN EMERGENCY LINE WITH THAT!

Kids finally woke up when they smelled the scones. Clearly I did something wrong, because these have a light, airy crumb, and scones are supposed to hit your stomach like a ball of cement.

Now I have coffee in my hand in my disappearing Tardis mug.

It's true: no matter how fringe your kink, there is niche art for you somewhere on the internet.

I would like to clarify that I was not looking for this specifically. I stumbled on it by accident in the most innocuous of circumstances. And I cannot imagine a situation in which I would ever want to wear it. But, I find myself glad that someone went to the trouble to design and sew it.

I could see wearing it on stage as part of a performance of some kind. But, not, you know, to take a trip to the corner store or anything. You'd be attacked by animals.

I would definitely eat it. Pierogis are delicious.

Younger me would've eaten it. So many carbs...

Never understood the appeal of edible clothes. Its a kink for some, I get that, but meat or pierogis or fruit roll-up clothes just seem like an unnecessary step. Now body paint I get.

I'm amused how everyone assumes this is edible. Do you have any idea how heavy that would be, how badly the dough would tear, and how it would start to smell?

This is made of fabric.

Things To Remember About Vaccines -- from Moderna's Chief Medical Officer

From Axios

"Moderna Chief Medical Officer Tal Zaks warns on #AxiosOnHBO to not "over-interpret" vaccine results: "They do not show that they prevent you from potentially carrying this virus...and infecting others." Adding, we shouldn't "change behaviors solely on the basis of vaccination." pic.twitter.com/qrwQkjLf3Y
