Good luck Nylarthotep!

We are day 2 of our governor opening up some of our local business again and yesterday was for real the biggest spike in Covid-19 cases we've had.

Business doubled last night at my work.

What state do you live in, Vid? Georgia has opened up most everything EXCEPT the Governor's mansion.
Vid lives in TN like I do, tho I think he's on the other end of the state. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
I don't know which part you live in but I'm right close to Chattanooga.
Oh we're in the same area then, I live in East Brainerd.
Oh you ever go to "game on"?
I dropped by once when I was looking for an in-person group to join. It's kind of badly located, tucked away in a corner in a parking lot and easy to miss if you're going the wrong direction on Lee Highway.
Yeah it is. Just wondering if we knew any of the same people I have a person in my group that is friends with the owners. They mostly do MTG.

Afraid not, especially since I've never done much with MTG. I did most of my gaming related shopping picking up used stuff from McKay's, and then more recently at Epikos in either East Ridge or Hixson until recently; before the Hixson one closed this past Christmas it was actually where my 5e group did our games.

No shoes, no shirt, no pants, no service was policy at all those stores. Clothes stay on.

Haven't been to epikos in awhile I used to go regularly at their previous locations. I've only been to the new one twice since they opened. Mckays I used to go to all the time. before the plague.

Saaaaaaaame.

I had so many books, games, and other stuff I wanted to sell to McKay's since I was moving out. But due to the Backstreet Boys Reunion Tour I couldn't get in, so they had to go to Goodwill. Alas.

Those tickets are everywhere!

Are you kidding? With Rosita no longer posting and lisamarlene having emigrated, I think I may be the only Californian left on here.

And we are 12% of the entire country's population, like it or not. I'd expect more of us to be rattling about...

And yet I'm the only regular forum poster for the entire state of Wisconsin (which happens to be the birthplace of fantasy RPGs).

Chattanooga used to be one of the biggest area's for Roleplay their was weekly 50+ larp sections for the white wolf crowd and so many gaming stores. Shame so much of it has died out. I think it's had a bit of a resurgence tho.

My friend called me today in a panic, shouting "You've got to help me! An evil wizard turned me into a tiny harp!!" I drove over to his house as fast as I could, only to find out that he's a big lyre.

Juan Vega, the clam diver, found an injured sea otter and nursed it back to health. From the moment the grateful otter was able to walk, it never left Juan's side. It even learned to dig for clams. One day, a man went to Juan's house looking to hire him for a week. His wife answered the door.
"Sure..." his wife said. "It will cost you $500."
"That much?"
"But you're getting my husband and his otter. They bring up more clams than anyone else in town."
"I just want Juan. I'll hire him alone for $350." the man countered.
"Sorry..." she shrugged. "You can't have Juan without the otter."

Didn't say it would make me happy. It was just a guess. It seemed too obvious for the answer to be you.

It's you, isn't it?

Yes. Sorry about before. Still a bit tired.

It's cool. Hope you have a good day.

good luck John. Hope it goes well.

I've been listening to the Dragonlance Saga again, and I'm getting really strong 80s children's cartoon vibes (He-Man/D&D cartoon, etc.) from it. That was probably intentional on TSR's part.

I heard you guys had a huge one day jump.

So many people are going to die, between things like this, governors in Iowa and Texas and no doubt elsewhere saying if you DON'T return to work when they reopen that's a "voluntary quit" and you lose all unemployment benefits, and the attorney general threatening to sue states that don't reopen.

Can we just cancel this country and put California in charge?

You know that practically means splintering USA at best (to an accompaniment of booming Russian and Chinese laughter), and an another Civil War at worst?

I'm still saying we should launch the USA into space. On general principles.

I mean, I'm all in favor of going to space, but I'm imagining this doesn't include proper safety protocols.
