CJ, had a mind?

Interestingly, this outfall structure and the Arkansas(pronounced arrrr Kansas as if in Pirate speech) River dam itself dates back to 1917. It is believed that this structure had some purpose when the trains ran through that area. It may have been a place that coal was delivered to provide energy for the city at the power plant generator that now takes the form of the Westar Building just to the north of this location. Designers originally wanted to remove this structure from the site. But there were no plans of the facility to determine its use. And when it rains, water pours from the outfall as if it’s coming from somewhere – but no one could determine where. And the interesting design, which can be seen just below the troll’s feet, is also a question. Why is there a square tunnel and a round tunnel?

When it was discovered that the concrete walls surrounding the tunnels were several feet thick, it was decided to leave the outtake as is, just upgrade the property. The troll was the brainchild of artist designers Bart Ewonus and Chris Brunner. Constance Ernatt is the artist that actually designed and made the Troll. Their innovative thinking to turn a negative into a positive brings a new whimsical element to the project.

We love our Trolls so much we put them in oubliettes

Good morning. I just stumbled across a pic of Evard's girlfriend.

Hanging out with bad people or guilty conscious? That's not what I'm up to.

Yay flight delayed! Looks like we may only have a half hour to make our connecting flight. Apparently maintenance says they need to test the engines. I am in favor of this, I think.

Bah, you can test the engines by flying. You will know almost instantly if they're working. Much more efficient.

MAC: I baked you PIE. (Wait, is a cheesecake cake or pie? I feel like we went over this once before.)

Hmmm. The voice on the speaker just said something about "there's still a little leak" and once they take care of that, they'll take the plane out to the pad for testing. Also, there will be another half hour delay. So we may not make our connecting flight after all. Yay Gen Con!

Oh fun! I assume you will make it to GenCon by Monday at the latest!

This is why we need reliable transporter technology.

I dunno, unreliable transporter technology might be cool, too, if I get an evil twin I can blame things on.

It would be much easier to get to the

Spoiler:
sekrit moon base
with transporters.

Apparently, the tank of mutagenic virus I was planning to use to cropdust the midwest was too much for your little plane to handle. I apologize for the inconvenience.

That's "secrete moon project". He's working on a way to harness the sweating power of humanity to create an artificial moon. I applaud his brave vision.

C'mere, Willy Wonka...

Also apparently the flights now delayed a total of two hours. I wonder if they will give us a different connecting flight. Maybe this one will be on something bigger than the crop duster we were originally booked on.

Weren't those the guys on Star Trek?

It amuses me that Amtrak has a blob server.

Also, they found another part that needed replacing while they were replacing the first part. So another half hour delay (that's 2.5 hrs total if you're playing along at home).

I am beginning to question the reliability of the aircraft I hope to eventually board.

Once they're done completely rebuilding it from the ground up, it'll be the safest, newest plane in the fleet. Or a Frankenplane built from whatever scrap metal and debris they had on hand. Either way, it'll be an experience.

That reminds me of an old philosophical question. If you replace every part of the plane one piece at a time, at what point does it stop being the same plane?

My guess is, when it falls out of the sky.
