What game is this and what are you running it on?
Dragon Age on XBox 360. An old one.

i fear this is the problem, provided the disk is not scratched. 360s age strangely. My friend has one of the first ones that came out and it's going strong while our mutual friend has gone through no less than 4.

Almost died in the claws of a Roc. Decided to retire and dedicate my time to creating a spiritual city. New PC is a Fighter.

Yeah, we just replaced the disk after the kidlet did a number on the original. I'm pretty sure it's the system. So frustrating. Honestly, it would be less frustrating if the damn thing had just red-ringed instead of pretending like it works. Sigh. We've been looking at costs for a replacement. Or two replacements so we can stop fighting over who gets to play. But it's so expensive. And my tv is dying too. Argh. Why do all the electronics crap out at once? (okay, I can't really complain about the tv. I mean, I could complain if it were the one in the living room, but the one in my room is sixteen years old and really it's a sodding miracle it didn't die before this.)

Roc was killed. I had Wild Shaped to an Air Elemental who got grappled, then Wild Shaped to a Rat and took falling damage. Decided that three killed/almost killed was enough. Created a Mounted charging fighter.

Get that Roc's kids! His brothers and sisters! Death to all Rocs!

They're an endangered species? Get out of here, hippie!

Hello girl it's been awhile
Guess you'll be glad to know
That I've learned
how to laugh and smile
Getting over you was slow

They say old lovers
can be good friends
But I never thought
I'd really see you
I'd really see you again

I go crazy
When I look in your eyes
I still go crazy
No my heart just can't hide
that old feelin' inside
Way deep down inside
Oh baby you know when I look
in your eyes I go crazy

You say he satifies your mind
Tells you all of his dreams
I know how much that means to you
I realize that I was blind

Just when I thought
I was over you
I see your face and
it just ain't true
No it just ain't true

I go crazy
When I look in your eyes
I still go crazy
That old flame comes alive
it starts burning inside
Way deep down inside
Oh baby you know when I look
in your eyes I go crazy

Oh Oh, Oh Oh Oh

I go crazy
You know when I look
in your eyes I go crazy
No my heart just can't hide
that old feelin' inside
Way deep down inside
I go crazy

My new place needs to have space for RPG books. I was just looking through some 2e books that have been in storage. I wish I could actually reference them.

Well, I'd *like* to be but the stubborn kidlet is still up. And I forgot to set to record. So I'll probably have to wait until tomorrow.

When you came in the air went out

And every shadow filled up with doubt
I don't know who you think you are
But before the night is through
I wanna do bad things with you

I'm the kind to sit up in his room
Heart sick an' eyes filled up with blue
I don't know what you've done to me
But I know this much is true
I wanna do bad things with you, okay

When you came in the air went out
And all those shadows there filled up with doubt
I don't know who you think you are
But before the night is through
I wanna do bad things with you
I wanna do real bad things with you

I don't know what you've done to me

Love the manga. Didn't realize that there was an anime. Now I must watch. :)

I hear it overtook the manga, and then had to make it's own ending, so it may not be exactly what you expect. Having no reference, I haven't had a problem so far.

Reading Cracked.com.

Learning stuff.

This happens a lot with anime. Thanks for the heads-up. It's a lot easier to handle if I know the changes are coming ahead of time. :)

Sorry, I've been recuperating. Ran my Shadowrun game yesterday (no PC deaths, but plenty of paranoia. And I got them to spend most of the money from the last round, keeping them hungry for more...), then did laundry this morning, then I gotta leave in about 45 minutes for the Carrion Crown game.

If it were for some other personal stuff, this would be a great weekend!

Don't you mean if there weren't any personal stuff?

Glad to hear you're enjoying Shadowrun. We may disagree on edition, but we both still love the game. I haven't been in a Shadowrun game in...wow. A decade. I also miss the fiction, I don't think the newer novels are very good.

Thanks, that is what I meant.

As for SR fiction, Spells & Chrome, the latest anthology, just won the Origins award a few days back and I know they are working on getting some new novels out.

Suddenly I've got encounters to build for my PbP. *wrings hands menacingly* They've been exploring and investigating for so long that I became complacent.

Victory is mine! After clearing the cache the Xbox was able to find enough memory to actually run the stuff at the end of the fight with the archdemon!!! Okay, yes, I know, this is sad that I'm so excited about winning a video game, but hey, it's the little things. ^.^

So I recently got a couple of hundred dollars I wasn't expecting, and now I have to decide what to do with it. I have narrowed it down to 2 choices, which I shall call The Responsible Choice and The Fun Choice.

The Responsible Choice:
Pay off approximately half my credit card debt

The Fun Choice:
Buy a new computer. My old one still works, but has some significant problems.

Right now, I am leaning heavily towards The Responsible Choice. Can anyone convince me to instead make The Fun Choice?

To use a bible-quote our former prime minister was fond of: "He who is in debt, is not free." So yeah, go with option 1, even if I do understand your hankering for a new comp.

I agree with the communist goblin. Debt repayment is incredibly important.

EDITED:

Pay off your debts and THEN buy a new computer. On credit.

Debt payment is important, but so is maintaining a high credit score. My father was laid off from Digital (does anyone else remember when New England was Silicon Valley?) back in the mid-90s and hasn't had a lucrative job since then, but his maintaince of a high credit score still means he can walk into an auto dealership and buy a new car, no questions asked.

This is advice that I, unfortunately, have never taken.

No, but seriously, pay your debts.

Morning FaWTL!! I had another long weekend as Jude had no daycare on Friday. I took him in for his 9 month check up and he is 29 in, and 20lbs. And then had a nice weekend of gaming and hanging out with the family.
