Yea, I get it. Shame about you being left alone, with no gaming…

Wish I could be in the states there with you ( I'm just sitting home alone today/night too :( ). Two people might not be enough for a game, but at least we could entertain each other over a drink or something.

Hope you're not coming down ill or the like.

Ditto, feel better John.

Hiding from you. Soon they'll all jump out, yell "Surprise!!", and throw you a big birthday party. Except for me, of course. I won't be doing that.

Socks that are lost in the dryer reincarnate as random tupperware lids that don't fit anything.

Okay, I can accept that Chrome doesn't have tupperware in its dictionary. But when I click on it to see the suggestions, why the F$~!ITY F~#% does it offer "Emoji" as the sole option?

It has been almost 70 years. When am I going to get to here Mambo #6?

As a parent, you are supposed to love all your kids the same. But that doesn't mean you have to like them all the same.

People give MLB umpires a lot of grief for getting calls wrong, but keep in mind that part of their job is to watch a 3-inch diameter ball travelling at up to 100 mph (sometimes more!) and determining whether or not it was inside an imaginary box that is different for every person. Also, often times the ball is curving, sliding, diving, or rising. And they have to make this determination in a fraction of a second. So, yeah, they'll get it wrong sometimes. It would be astonishing if they didn't.

Just keep waiting for it.

Any second now.

I promise.

I wouldn't lie to you.

It's gonna happen.

Soon.

And it will be awesome.

They're all gonna give it maximum effort.

There will be Bonchon.

And bubble tea.

And geeky married women waiting to be absconded with.

And so many bicycles for you to choose from.

It will all be worth the wait.

Yep.

Any second now.

I'm sure they're almost ready for the big surprise party. Just be patient.

Maybe they got the date wrong.

Or they're in a different thread.

Or they're just really stretching it out.

I'm sure they'll be here soon.

I love how no matter which Shifter aspect you choose you always start with claws at first level.

Goes off to google frogs, snakes, deer, and bovines with claws.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

If everyone makes a shifter with a different aspect could we recreate Winnie the Pooh?

Edit: The answer is no, Piglet and Rabbit would both need to change, we'll make Piglet a mouse, I guess, and Rabbit can be a... Deinonychus.

Yes, that'll do.

I cooked green tea soba with glazed teriyaki as a side dish to accompany the soba for my BF. He liked it! Pity I didn't get to cook for his family, but again we were back superlate after we had breakfast after running and it started pouring. So we waited out the rain, leading to really superlate.

Soba is faster to prepare as opposed to ramen. Ramen you need to chop the black fungus, spring onions, and cook the shabu shabu, Soba, just cook the noodles, pour out the soba sauce and dilute appropriately, and heat up the teriyaki chicken in a frying pan.

And happy birthday the General, sorry if I'm late.

I may or may not have gotten a taste for intimidating high school boys that come to the door for Crookshanks.

Poor kid knocks on door, I answer.

"is Crookshanks home?" "No" "She's not?" I narrow my eyes suspiciously as I reach behind the door "No, she's not..."

It turned out that I might have gotten a mild case of food poisoning from some tea that had gone bad. Feeling a bit better, today, after sleeping all day. See everyone tomorrow. P.S. Don't trust gas station food or drinks.

You want them to give minimum effort? Or no effort? Or do you want more than maximum effort? Maybe that's why they're all hiding. They're storing up energy to give overmaximum effort!

And The Crucible begins. Countdown to everyone hating Abigail...

Have them read Wuthering Heights and try to find a single male in the class who doesn't want to track down and beat Heathcliff to death with his bare hands.

I swear, I've complained about "A*****e Dazzle" on the thread before (the tendency of teen girls to be attracted to execrable males), but Wuthering Heights takes it to a whole new level; Heathcliff has NO redeeming features whatsoever. He's a complete jerk who deserves to be beaten senseless every day of his life. And yet Catherine loves him for totally-inexplicable reasons, and at least in my high school class at least half the girls fell in love with him as well.

It was a serious "WTF?" revelation moment for me...

Girls want bad boys?

I think its more about confidence. Plus some women seem to be attracted to men that are not interested in them and are intently focused on something else. I think maybe its the challenge or maybe they are attracted to his passion for whatever he has it for and hopes she can get some of that moved towards her? I don't just theorizing.

You should get a "No Boyds Allowed" sign for the front door. Maybe add a line about "Violators shall be bicycled" for good measure.

I don't know I think if I ever have a daughter I'm just going to get her signed up for judo lessons and then let her handle it from their. I don't think I could pull off the scary dad thing that well.

The last time I went canoeing I kept peddling myself in circles. Then I was like, why don't I jump in the water and swim, I'd make better progress. And it'd be cooler. I don't row boats well, period.

I can't imagine my BF doing the scary dad thing, I'd do the scary mom thing better probably if I weren't a little bit...
