Almost time to close the garage. Good night, everyone.

The Exchange

Good night John.

*Throws John a towel*

You starkers.

*Gets dressed* Stupid page break. *Grumble*

Starting to get a bit of indigestion. :(

The Exchange

*Passes John a cup of ginger tea*

Figured out what gave you indigestion? Otherwise just take some charcoal tablets if the ginger tea isn’t helping.

So Ginger tea is that just green tea with ginger in it?

The Exchange

Nope, this is ginger tea

So last night, the Netflix Conversation went something like:
"So, police procedural with the Cat from Red Dwarf, or the latest season of Agents of SHIELD where the writers have jumped the shark so badly, the shark that Fonzie jumps over is actually Jabberjaw?"
(sigh) "I don't care; you pick."
(scrolling) "Hey! They've got The Last Jedi streaming now!"
"Sure. How bad can it be?"
(an hour and a half of viciously MST3King it later)
I honestly cannot believe it's really that bad.
Maybe I'm hallucinating.
They could have afforded script writers if they'd wanted them.
What in the everloving f*** did they do to Star Wars?
I hate people. I hate people so much.
AND WE'RE ABOUT TO SIT DOWN AND WATCH THE OTHER HALF OF IT.

Yeah I like the actors ok (I actually really like rey in particular) but the script for the last 2 have been pretty well lets remake episodes 4, 5, and 6 but without the good stuff. I liked 1, 2, and 3 better. the little chicken thingys were cute however.

I don't have any issues with Star Wars episode 8 and 9.

Anything's better then Yuuzhan Vong.

Hauled my sorry @rse 105m up for it on stairs. Not sure how long it took, wasn't paying too much attention to time. Definitely less then an hour.

Older ginger with more wrinkles gets you a spicier tea.

I love the way they paved the ground. The alternating shades looks cool.

The "older ginger with more wrinkles" might also slap you if you call her that.

That robot you’re talking about is a pair of binoculars. You can insert a $1 coin to use it to see further.

I ran into 2 Coloradans on the way to the Henderson waves. They were puffing and panting but at least I think the guy was over 60 since his hair and beard were white. I wonder if Americans as a whole really don’t do stairs well…

About the Henderson waves:

True to its name, the bridge mimics the undulating shape of a wave, curving and twisting along its entire 274-metre length. Its form is anchored by steel arches and filled in with curved ‘ribs’—slats of Balau wood, a dense hardwood used in heavy construction and which is found only in Southeast Asia.

Its shape allows it to have hidden recesses and shell-like niches, where pedestrians can sit and observe their surroundings. Because there’s privacy and room to rest, the bridge is a popular spot on weekends with couples, families with children and joggers.

Wrong. That is obviously an early version of WALL-E who's down on his luck and begging for change.

Nah. To many of us to lump everyone in a group like that.

And the only thing I’ve had for lunch is a large Korean pear, so I’m going to fiddle with my instant cupcakes again.

I do think people forget that america is so huge it can be drastically diverse. Going from one coast to the other is like going to a different country in some ways.

I didn't read the novels, but they still seemed like a cool idea.

Cool. For Birmingham, don't forget the insect repellent, and tell me what fluffy critters you see in the Zoo, ok? As well as what fluffy critters you see in PaizoconUK.

How rude. I'm sure that Brummies have evolved beyond the insect stage by now.

You see once the Yuuzhan Vong came into the picture it all ended up as an intergalatical war where good people died. And the horrors of war irreparably corrupted good people(think PTSD), and lead to some rather nasty stuff in legacy of the force series.

Spoilers ahead:

Like Chewbacca and Anakin Solo(Luke and Leia's son) died in the Yuuzhan Vong war.

Jania had to kill her twin brother Jacen, who fell to the dark side in legacy of the force series.

Jania and Jacen= Luke And Leia's kids

Additional notes:

I really can't imagine how heartrending it is watching someone you grew up with together fall to the dark side. There will be all that "why didn't I see it coming", "why couldn't I have prevented that", and how immensely painful it must be to have to kill your own brother. And at the end of the day Jacen's motivations weren't bad, he just wanted peace for the galaxy, it was the ways he was using to achieve them...

Which really made the whole thing too dark for my taste. So anything without Yuuzhan Vong is a good thing!

Please do, thank you! My dad told me not to pet carnivores because they might bite. Is that true?

Mort your a carnivore shouldn't you know?

Hmm. Well I'll admit sometimes I bite. Especially when I'm not in a good mood.

Gotta ditto this, thought they seemed really interesting.

As for the Legacy storyline being too dark. I respectfully disagree, though I will say its a personal taste kind of thing.
Its heartrending for sure, though I don't really think to an extend were it is turning me off.

Then again, I'm very much a glutton for crapsack-worlds in RPGs, games and other fiction.

The Exchange

Yes it's a matter of personal taste, and these days I don't have much preferance for that kind of stuff anymore.

I like sunshine, flowers, unicorns and rainbows, thank you very much.
