I'm pretty sure if I was trying to catch a catfish, but hooked a bass(of reasonable size), instead, it'd still end up in my cooking pot. Steamed bass with light soya sauce, spring onion, ginger and chilli is a thing.
Else I have the dark soya sauce, light soya sauce, sugar, ginger and chilli version as well.
If you are looking for catfish because you are having people over for a catfish fry, then bass aren't especially useful.

Off my head I can think of toasted with italian herbs and butter, stir fried with light soya sauce, ginger and spring onion, stir fried with tomatoes and salted bean paste, toasted with sambal balachan, steamed with light soya sauce, ginger, spring onion and chilli, stir fried with ginger, chopped onion and dark soya sauce, stir fried (in slices), with ginger, spring onion, and oyster sauce.
Then there's also just deep fried fish, filleted (though I've never filleted a fish before), and deep fried in batter and squeezed with lemon.
We think of the fish! Extensively!
I don't cook them, I just eat them. Fish too. Hungry Dragon is hungry!

Hunting... hmm probably just follow the shedding,
Cooking I suggest lots of butter and garlic
Ethical dilemmas well for humans its cannibalism but for mort and Sharoth them being a cat and a dragon I don't think its a big deal.
Now as far as bypassing the traps I've set now that's a good discussion.

I'm an introvert, remember? So I'm not having any parties at my house. Besides I'm all about being crazy prepared, so I certainly would not trust my fishing skills if it was used to provide for multiple guests. I would buy fish off the supermarket had I decided to really have a party.

*Feeds hungry dragon Sharoth with Gran*
*Considers for a moment... No, Sharoth has standars, so that won't do. *
*butters Gran, sprinkles him with Italian herbs, tosses him into the oven, then shuts the door and sets the oven temperature to 365 F.*
*waits for 40 mins, turns Gran over then then waits another 35 min*
*Serves a roasted Gran to Sharoth on a silver platter, garnishing with cherry tomatoes and sliced cucumbers*
Better, right?
I mean to think about cooking and eating Vidmaster7 >.<

The turkey roasting guide said 20min per pound... And according to d20pfsrd, a male human weighs at least 130 lbs so.. So it'll take 43 and 1/3rd h. We'll need to chop him up before roasting. And probably multiple ovens or a really huge one.
well sharoth can be our source for the heat just need a good iron chest or something like that. or Why not do it Hawaiian style slow roast then burrow him on the beach full of hot coals.

So you get the big stick and knock him out with it, then I'll get the meat cleaver remove his inwards, then hack him up.
Next we butter(salted butter) the parts, season them(salt, pepper, chilli powder and Italian herbs) , stuff into multiple ovens and start roasting. Should be done in 1 h 15 mins, and we can serve Sharoth the Gran Roast.

If we're doing like pork, there's this Char Siu recipe I use for my pork ribs. It could work on Gran too. But he needs be to marinated overnight.
Vidmaster7, what do you think?

Ok change of plans. You knock Gran out, I’ll gut him and chop him into smaller pieces, then marinate him with char siew mix, and stuff him into a fridge.
Then we’ll both go dig the pit, get the stones the ti and banana leaves. Tomorrow we’ll take the Gran parts out of the fridge, and heat the rocks, then line it with vegetation, put the parts on, then wrap it up with more banana and ti leaves. Then after 3 and a half hours, we’ll dig out the pit and the Gran part’s, take then out and serve it to Sharoth on a wooden tray lined with banana leaves.
Now that’s standards, no?

Believe it or not I was not actually considering cannibalism until Mort made it sound so tempting.

To be honest - for Char siew sauce:
2 pieces Chinese fermented red bean curd
1 tablespoon maltose or honey
1 tablespoon Chinese Shaoxing wine
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon dark and thick soy sauce --> Just dark soya sauce.
1 teaspoon five-spice powder
1/4 teaspoon white pepper powder
3 1/2 oz (100 g) sugar, or 8 1/2 tablespoons
You can skip the fermented red been curd, and instead of using Maltose or honey, just add sugar (17 g per tablespoon of honey). The rest of the ingredients you can get from Asian themed supermarkets I think.

To be honest I'm not familiar with Kansas City or St. Louis style BBQ. Know anything about those, Vidmaster7?
In fact I am quite the BBQer I can handle that. ITs all about the slow roast and the basting. Definitely Kansas style btw. I don't know If I want to use my homemade sauce or just get a lot of sweet baby rays to throw on. I don't care as much for dry rubs.

Not a big fan of Sweet Baby Ray's sauce. Not sure how yours is, as I've never had it. Personally I don't use a lot of sauce. I prefer a nice rub, and a glaze for ribs.
Just don't cook me up Carolina style. I don't like those mustard-based sauces. Texas style could work, but I find that mesquite can be a bit overpowering.

Gran is certainly a picky customer...he not only wants to pick the style, he wants to pick the sauce as well.
*shakes head*
And I don't take chicken fried steaks. More of a grilled chicken person, except for wings, which I'll take fried.
And no, Cover Turtle has not been doing anything to anyone, whereas YOU decided to talk about thinking of hunting and cooking another FAWTLer. What goes around comes around =)
