More realistic then you might realize. :-)
Planning an actual vacation is my winter activity. :-)
Well, be sure to give us a little bit of warning! Rivoli's web site doesn't allow you to make reservations for more than 6 people, but I've seen parties of 8-10, so I think if you call in and speak to a manager you can get a bigger table.
Fortunately, I have reason to believe that if we try to make reservations for 10 they'll figure out a way to do that. When you can get away with running up and hugging the head chef, they give you a little bit of leeway that way...
EDIT: Of course, it may be a smaller group. Impus Major commits heresy by saying that the dinners "are good, but aren't worth the money" so he chooses not to go. Impus Minor is finicky and so he prefers not to go. So we'd already be down to 8, and I don't know how much Tiny T-Rex would enjoy it. I am not leaving Crookshanks and Impus Major alone in a house together, though! At least not a house that I want to find standing when I get back to it...
I'm sure they would label it an "artistic reconstruction"
Assuming they finish and don't get distracted watching YouTube halfway through.

PLEASE tell me she's not into memes.
We would never see the two of them again.
(Funny side story: One of the girls from "Team Put a Shirt On" said she was really into memes, so I told her to get in touch with Impus Major. Apparently, she was into "Happy Frilly" memes. The ones Impus Major showed her... disturbed her. Which is why I'm worried he'd get along with Crookshanks a little too well...

I have a smoked ham that needs to be eaten by Monday.
If anyone has (polite, and anatomically possible) suggestions as to what to do with it, please pass them on.
Get a bunch of fresh green beans, red potatoes, and onions. Clean the beans, wash the taters, cut the onions into slices, cut the ham into large-ish dice. Put a big stock pot on the stove, add some butter. Once the butter melts, throw in the onions and ham (and some salt and pepper). Let them cook a few minutes, until the onions are tender, add the taters, beans, and enough water to cover by about an inch or so. Bring to a boil, drop to a simmer, put the lid on and let it cook until the taters are fork tender. Eat (I like to smash the taters up and put a bit of butter on them).
This also works really well with bacon ends or salt pork.

But when I swing at him, I smack him around like the proverbial red-headed rented step-mule.It seems that the dice hates that PC.
All dice hate that player. I've seen him roll 8 natural ones in a 3 hour session. It's rare that a session goes by where he doesn't roll at least one nat 1.

What has he done to offend the dice gods?

Take him to a casino, the law of averages is bound to work out in his favor.

No idea. He's almost as bad as Wil Wheaton.

I had a player like that. He is GMing Pathfinder now.
Like almost literally now - the sessions starts within two hours, though I am not attending because I go to a birthday party of another acquaintance of mine not much later.

Just like the old FaWtLs, you just hit the board's limit on "number of favorites".

With 170,124 favorites under his belt, TL has nearly 10 times the amounts of favorites to his number of posts, which comes in at about 18,236. To say that TL favorites all the things has now entered meme status, and is no longer a joke. (though, admittedly still funny)
Therefore, concerning the fact that the website is not allowing him to favorite one of three things is probably the case, 1) one of the mods has decided on an intervention, and has temporarily, or even permanently removed his ability to favorite everything, in the hopes of curing this. 2) The server dedicated to TL's favorites page has crashed from the sheer number of post TL has Favorited. This doesn't make sense, as this page is bigger, and hasn't yet crashed. or 3) TL is just having a slight computer problem that will resolve itself, similar to a problem I have occasionally, called slow-computer-processing.
My moneys on the last one, but only time will tell...

First day of Parent-Teacher conferences.
It's been a long couple of weeks, and I'm trying to mediate and broker a peace between the boss, the parents at my school, and the business manager on my campus over a stupid issue that I suspect I will be put in charge of fixing, because even though I'm an a@&~&+%, I am capable of being a diplomatic a+*&~%$ when I need to be.
And, joy of joys, trying to deal with a new problem that is either a budget-to-throw-money-at-it-and-fix-it or budget-to-throw-money-at-it-and-replace-it.
And I'm being deliberately vague because I don't want Nobody to say "Oh, that's easy; just ask Hi to take a look at it!" or "Shiro has three in his garage!" I can deal with it; it will just take longer than I'd like and it's an irritation.
I don't want a fairy godmother, I just want things to stop breaking down.
Including me.
