From zero players to six in under a week.
...and every last one of them is utterly and completely psyched as hell to play. Three are brand new to Pathfinder, having only played 3.5 one time.
and I am pretty sure they're all heavy roleplayers.
This is totally awesome!
We play the first session tomorrow, and one of the players described trying to get to sleep after character generation last night "like the night before Christmas."
well AWRIGHT!
Note: I originally misread it as "psycho", and almost wrote a consolation post.

What a good night's sleep!
It's bright and early! Beautiful day! A great time to sleep...
... except reality doesn't comport itself to the wishes of we nocternal folk (at least not in that manner, yet).
Also, from my phone: do preprogrammed emojis work? Let's see:
EDIT: Nope! Shows up when I type it, but is (self-evidently) removed after I submit.

See, that's why I need those reality-altering powers I was talking about before. Grab myself some NI-divine ranks, make a ton of avatars, and then start fixing things.
Among other things, "fixed": I'd have this Nerd Emporium-Library where you could come and browse all things nerd-culture. Game books would be freely available (though they could not be checked out), and plenty of computer stations and printers (small charge to cover ink and paper costs). Showers, soap, toilets; all freely available (with free membership; member card being how you activated the things). Snack bar and eatery; extra-tasty "healthy" options as well as more typical fair, but all for low prices.
I'd start a chain, though it'd be a not-for-profit. Multiple places around the world.
Lots of Bible quotes engraved everywhere (English KJV, with references; but also Hebrew, Japanese, and Lithuanian), but that's because I'm a nerd like that. (Bibles would also be available).
EDIT: ninja'd, but it works, because see, here's a thing - if you have a large community congregating around a centralized location in a regular manner, you get to know them. By having a welcoming and open (as well as safe for <X>) environment, you'll make it popular. And we'd have places for kids to play (either gaming, reading, or just a play area or something). Yes, I've thought about this a lot. I even know where I'd build my first one...

Wow. It is POURING rain here. Which is:
(a) Unusual for April.
(b) Unusual for California at all since the mid-1990's.
And as always, I'm checking traffic for NobodysWife, because, "There is water falling from the sky!!!!" seems to be the #2 cause of utter driving stupidity in this state.
#1 is, "There is a massive fog bank limiting my visibility to 50 yards or less. I'd better drive like mad and tailgate the guy in front of me to get out of it ASAP." 100-car pileups? Thy name is California...

Also finding ANYONE that plays Pathfinder in my part of Madison is not easy. It's all Dungeons and Dragons or bust up here. Any edition, even 4th edition is easier to find people playing.
People here, DO NOT like change at all.
I'm caught between the jokes, "Bums around there must be really happy!" or "Bums around there must be upscale!" or other such nonsensical things... d-dangit! Drowning in good (bad) ideas!

Oh, yeah. Drive 64 miles east of us and you're in Davis, home of, "Hits 90 in May, doesn't drop back below 90 'til November."
An 87-degree day is a blessing, and if the low that night is in the 70's you've done well.
In total other news, as I was scrolling down I'd swear I saw a post about "massage bards".
Now THAT is a very specific performance! Do they get additional bonuses because their performances are single-target? Do their targets end up fatigued at the end of the performance?

Why I love my brother: NobodysWife called him to invite him to join us for Bats in the Sun day in Disneyland.
His response: "Awesome! I'm going to wear a Hawaiian shirt and khaki shorts and offend them all! And you can stylishly shun me all day!"
And he and I have never talked about such things! He just came up with it spontaneously!
NobodysWife figures it must be a sign from the gods, so he and I get to be offensive twins in the park! Woo hoo!

Gets out fan, begins blowing the warmth towards Limey, which, hilariously enough, must pass over Freehold.
And that's how you multitask.
"I blow warm air in your general direction, silly English person! Your father was a snowman and your mother smells of popsicles!"
