My store sold someone over a hundred bottles of hot sauce today. Several brands and varieties. Corporate card. Can't think of what kind of corporation would need that except food service, and if you were a restaurant you wouldn't be sending someone to deive up to Cost Plus and load up a shopping card.
Holiday time will be fun. We are a major holiday shopping store, but we are also a major tourist store, and tourism ramps up in winter here. Add in a large population base and accessible location, and these next few months shall be chaos.

Bandai Namco is developing a Playstation Virtual Reality game called "Summer Lesson."
In the hyper realistic game, you will teach Japanese girl English or an American girl Japanese.

I know little of Pokemon, my kids however...
I'm a child of the 90s. I was right in the target demographic (admittedly on the high end) when the original games came out.
Combine that with a love of fantasy and dragons and monsters, a pre-existing bias toward RPGs thanks to Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger, and just enough of a completionist streak to get hooked by the "Gotta Catch 'em All" tagline... yeah.

Time for another episode of Orthos's Bizarre Dreams.
This one sounds like a story/book series idea. Anyone else here remember that one episode of Doctor Who where reality collapsed and the entire timeline was existing simultaneously? So you had Churchill hanging out in the Parthenon, guarded by Roman centurions, and using super-high-tech gadgetry?
Basically that as a story series. The "world where all times are happening simultaneously" was a sort of 4th-dimensional pocket-realm of Time Itself, and the people living there - plucked from countless different times in Reality - were sort of Time Agents: one part Doctor, one part Illuminati (they actually used the term Illuminati to refer to themselves at one point, and were irked that the prevailing rumor seemed to be that the Illuminati was out for world domination), one part Thursday Next's Time Police, one part Chrono Trigger. They'd travel from point to point on the timeline, righting wrongs and fixing errors, keeping track of the timeline and making sure things went as necessary, and that people wouldn't make massive changes to the past or anything.
The "main characters" as far as I could tell were a redheaded cyborg woman, a Renaissance duelist fellow, a Millennial-era hacker chick, and a guy whose era of origin was unknown but he was crazy good with animals.
Thankfully, in her mid-thirties, she'd managed to come to a compromise with someone from the FGMB. She had been considering the cybernetic enhancements anyway, but as with all such things they were federally regulated and getting access to any of them (unless you were willing to go black market... no thank you) required all the proper forms and permissions and authorizations. But Taryn had been able to convince the auditor that the enhancements would be able to keep her alive even in the most dangerous situations, as well as extending her lifespan significantly, therefore giving the government even longer access to her genetic template.
So a deal was struck. Taryn got her implants and most of the red tape was cut from her occupational options. In exchange, every five years she had to make a significant donation to the FGMB catalog. The first few years she'd let them do genetic mapping and take samples. After that, egg donations. Following that, she'd let them clone her a few times. Once she'd even taken a year off work, under federal leave pay, simply mandated by an agreement to let herself get pregnant; she had no interest in a family of her own right now, but some couple unlucky enough to have some sort of obstruction to having children of their own now were the proud parents of a bouncing baby redheaded girl who was likely to grow up into the same level of harassment from the FGMB as her birth mother. It'd also done a favor for one of her then-coworkers, Charles, who had a lot of the same traits Taryn had... except his eyes were blue, even more recessive and thus more desirable to the FGMB's archives.
Then she'd gotten involved with Temporal Investigation. That was a job she'd never have gotten without having a lot of strings to pull; too much risk of something going wrong for a high-quality investment to slip away into. But she'd called in some favors, made some friends, and even managed a bit of blackmail. You did what you had to do, really. And it had been worth it - being able to chase down Time-Splicers across the Great Wall, wrestle Babylonian artifacts from temporal thieves, and prevent no less than seven assassinations of important historical figures by killers from the Sixth Reich alone (and that's not counting all the other organizations interested in a little bit of hands-on historical revisionism) was worth making sure she set her destination every now and then to the next five-year stop-off point in her "present" to do her due diligence for the FGMB.

My younger brothers were really into Monster Rancher at that time, I was into pot, and twisted metal, Tomb Raider and some special ops type game I can't remember but was huge at the time when the PlayStation came out, also that hella f%!*ed up trapped in a house with Zombies game which I also can't remember (surely the pot had nothing to do with that..)

I will catch them all!
Then mount their heads in my Den, like the Black Rhino I'm sure their population will rebound quite easily...
Unlike the Black Rhino, a Pokemon can create an egg within 30 minutes or less, that will hatch in a manner of hours, by breeding with a creature not necessarily within its own species (but also not too far away, mind) or an amorphous shapeshifting blob that can emulate any creature it sees.
Unless it's a legendary Pokemon, in which case you're kind of screwed. =)

Taking the train downtown tonight to see Tim Minchin's "Matilda". I can't recall the last live musical I attended. I distinctly remember seeing Annie when it started touring off Broadway. My mother took me as it was playing in Chicago and I wasn't old enough to drive yet. So... yeah. Been a while.
My daughter is VERY jealous of you right now.
Matilda is one of her all-time favorite musicals. (Along with Newsies and a couple of others) She has all of the young original actresses names memorized and everything.But,... She hasn't gotten to see it live. Yet. :/

Actually we were quite busy and short handed so I wasn't able to slack off as much as I would've liked, but I earned browny points for hauling everything outside for people, getting the carts in the rain (anything to get outside) and selling a power wheels frozen themed mustang. But really judging from the Frozen clothes his two little girls were decked out in, I was fairly confident he wasn't leaving without the Frozen Mustang (which has a 15% mark-up over the regular Mustang because it's Disney.

I think HR made a big mistake... It's great that they bought us all new uniforms but... The pants ride low on the waist. I look like a hipster or something wearing them to work
I would feel so uncomfortable wearing those
i would constantly try to pull up my pants but they would already be as far up as they could go and i hate pants that are that tight in that region.
not to mention that they usually make pants for people with skinny legs and no ass.

I worked at a naughty coffee shop in Seattle (shut up I applied everywhere out there and truth be told I just thought it was French, young me was so naive) anyway I had my first day of training and at the end the trainer handed me my uniform which was hot pink pleather short shorts and a white tank top.
I looked at the lady and said "you don't expect me to wear this do you?" "That's the standard uniform" "but.. I'm a dude!" "And...."
I worked one day.

On the other hand, I can probably still tell all the characters in Åshöjdens BK apart, as well as most of the players in Roy of the Rovers club Melchester Rovers.

What a fun show!
I was seated one in from the side aisle and the proscenium decoration was so huge that I couldn't see the center back of the stage, where a lot of the action took place. The central seats would all be laughing (or gasping or whatever) and the side sections on the floor would be going "What? What? What's happening?"
The lady next to me was a 40 season ticket holder. She'd never seen a staging in this theater that blocked so much of the audience's view of the action.
The sound system wasn't great. Solos came through nice and clear, but the children's chorus got very, very muddy. And really, the Minchin lyrics were why I came, so being unable to pick those out was disappointing.
Beyond that, the leads were all very good, the staging was tons of fun, the story was pretty OK, and (best of all) the audience was full of kids dressed to the nines, all quiet, attentive, and very demonstrative of their approval during the curtain calls. I love to see kids at live performances of anything; it's so important to start them young.

Wear them on your head instead. When they complain, point out that there's no rule about having to put them on your lower slopes and proudly display
figures showing all the extra business you've bought in as a result.
