I have sad feelings about that. I have beautiful memories and an attachment to Baltimore as a result of Otakon.

Yes, some of those memories involve nudity.

This dude is a frickin' musical genius with SNES soundfonts. Figured Freehold and a few others here would appreciate this.

It's supposed to be in Washington DC next year

Chrono Trigger and FF6 remain godly. But Castlevania III was my first..I still remember putting in the code to get the music.

Yeah, I agree with you on this, Orthos. I'm 37 and I have never in my life seen any reason to be ashamed of my age. I mean, geez, it's not like there's something wrong with getting older. I think of it more as an achievement. Hey, look, I made it another year without dying. Woo! ;P
For me, it's silly for multiple reasons (mainly that nobody ever believes I'm over 30). I'm 33 and quite happy. =)

I'm 35 and only now do I look in my 30s.

People usually peg me for mid-20s. It's flattering, but also frustrating professionally because people assume I lack experience.

Yeah that would do it. CT was my first RPG ever, before that all I'd played was Mario games, Mega Man X, and F-Zero. A friend lent me CT and my parents got me Pokemon Red and Final Fantasy Adventure (aka Sword of Mana) the following Christmas and I was hooked.

Secret of Mana is my wife's favorite soundtrack/game

But without Final Fantasy Legend/SaGa, I would not be here.

CT and FF6 for me. Those two cemented my love of fantasy, sci-fi, magic, and steampunk, all at once.

All the Mana and SaGa games have brilliant music, though I haven't had much opportunity to play much of the latter, something I must remedy sometime soonish.

This is the kind of music I listen to pretty much all the time. It gets some weird looks from my family. That or metal, which they like/tolerate much better. My dad's as much a metalhead as I am.

Though he did like Bravely Default's soundtrack, interestingly enough.

I strongly recommend a first aid course.

Here in the states cheap Red Cross classes on first aid, CPR, and AEDs are pretty ubiquitous.

If it makes young parents here feel any better my Mom had to come to school and get me when I was in 4th grade. She was somewhat surprised to find me literally covered head to toe in my own blood.

It would help if we knew your superpowers. It wouldn't make sense to call you "Captain Explodey" if you don't do anything explosive. Or maybe your powers are like one of Perf's spells. We could call you "Ms. Vague" because your powers are hard to really explain.

How about General Information? Then she could just explain all the faulty logic in the villains' plans. Then they'll get really upset at her poking holes in their plans, realize they just aren't cut out for supervillainy, and become llama ranchers.

If she doesn't want the responsibility that comes with higher ranks (like Captain, Colonel, General, etc..), she could be Private Dancer. She would stun the villains with her fantastic Tina Turner impersonation, shimmy up to them, and kick them in the head.

Then she could have a sidekick, Tiny Dancer, who would do backup choreography and vocals while kicking the villains' mooks in the shins.

Or, to borrow from Barney Stinson, she could be Puzzle. She would never exhibit any powers, and when people asked her what made her a super-heroine she could say "That's the puzzle".

Maybe she wears a black and white bear costume while riding a train? Then she would be Panda Express.

Or if her power is to make an ice tornado, she could be the Polar Vortex.

If she makes shark tornadoes, they could call the SYFY channel's lawyers.

Or she could be El Nino.

(Technically she would be La Nina, but then the joke doesn't work.)

If her powers were to be super annoying and making want to punch her in the face, she could be The Hipster. (She's been fighting crime since before it was cool.)

If she had really bad gas, she could wear a set of antlers and call herself the Torna-Doe.

Maybe she could foil evil plans by writing about them on her website. She could be The Blogger.

Or she could do the same thing in video format and be The Vlogger.

She could put on an amphibian costume and try to cross the road. Then she would be Frogger.

If her power was being stupidly happy and baking cupcakes, she could be Pink Eepi. (Pink Eepi is not affiliated with and is legally distinct from the character Pinky Pie from My Little Pony. Pinky Pie and My Little Pony are registered trademarks of the Hasbro Corporation, and Pink Eepi makes no claim on ownership. Please don't sue me.)

If she ran an S&M themed cruise ship she could be the Corporal Captain.

(In this case, corporal would refer to physical punishment, not the military rank.)

If I remember correctly, she has commented on her lack of height. If so, maybe she could find a way to encourage the villains and their minions to perform a maneuver popular at sporting events. She could then be The Micro-Wave.

Perhaps she could be The Barrista. Then she could bankrupt the villain by selling them overpriced coffee, thus preventing them from being able to afford all their nifty weapons and doomsday devices and such.

Maybe she could be The Headmistress. Her power would be decapitation.

She could dress like an old, broken-down horse and constantly irritate the villains by harping on their ever little mistake (real or imagined). Then she would be The Nag. (See, that one works on two levels.)

Maybe she could wear a large computer monitor and show the villains cat videos. Not sure what her name would be, but who can resist cat videos?
